Re: Rail and private operator observations 2024
Not sure of the problem - but where it is located is not just a bus dealer. It is also where Bustech is now located.

The white volgrens on NSW plates are new for CDC.
If you jump on Flickr and look up Matthew Browne you'll find a heap of pics with details of who owns what.

Re: Rail and private operator observations 2023
Wide bay have been doing rail replacement in a Brisbane a few times. It's still their bus. Most likely 120 as there have been photos of it.
Previous rail works weekends have seen 124 (denning) and 135 (B8RLE Bustech) also travel down for the weekends.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2023
The GTFS-RT feed provides vehicle identifier (generally fleet no) plus position, delay and data of that nature.
Anytrip receives the vehicleid and they must then have a database or something, that they maintain, that then provides the chassis body etc. for the app - it's not received from TransLink.

Re: Rail and private operator observations 2023
I think the NCBC ones were a cheaper quality than the CB60's they have. They did bump up maintenance and presentation about 4-5 years ago, not sure how that's going of present.
Three of them (18,40 & 86) have already been moved to schools with the remainder likely to be moved to schools by 2025.

Just to be pedantic.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
I haven't seen any new B8's on route service yet. Or new artics for that matter. This suggests no MANs have been de-commissioned recently, although I believe that the last remaining Scanias may be the first to go when the new buses are running. It wasn’t in service. Also, haven’t seen a scania arou...

It's the norm for most, (particularly smaller) operators. Exceptions are school runs that are attached to urban shifts. Another example of this is Bus Qld's depots - Park Ridge, Ipswich, Laidley and Toowoomba.

It entered service in March. The LCBS bus operated the 533 for the first week and a half before going back. Regular westside buses operated the route until 100wbc entered service.
