Re: Rail observations Septembert 2016

yeah, one example that comes to mind and i am happy to be corrected if wrong was in 2010 when the dragons were in the final there was quite a lot of unhappy south coast passengers that wanted to attend the final at aNZ so much so that, they had to run special trains whilst there was rail replacement...

Re: Rail observations Septembert 2016

Hey all. On the 828 from Revesby to the city via Sydenham nade an additional stop at Erskinevill. Does anyone know why that would be the case? Saw a S set on the 1703 service to Revesby via the airport finally guard announcements were excellent on the 1706 from central to CampbellTown. Will let Syd ...

Re: [Australian] Mike Baird buying new trains off the rack

Okay, a possible solution to ease the overcrowding for stations such as Eastwood in Epping would be those passengers aren't allowed to travel in the priority carriages which would be reserved for passengers going further than for example Hornsby the Central Coast and Newcastle. In terms of accessing...

Re: [Australian] Mike Baird buying new trains off the rack

What I was actually thinking was if they were able to incorporate a single deck design in diesel as the same as an electric design in double deck variant that would be good And a final thought, if the diesel variant was in a four car can figuration, would this allow the services to also replace the ...

Re: [Australian] Mike Baird buying new trains off the rack

Morning all A question I have is, if the government is ordering 500 carriages to replace the current intercity fleet, why, wouldn't they decide to order say another 100 or 200 carriages and make that in a diesel variant? This, would be able to replace the current endevaour fleet and, with possible ...

Re: Rail observations August 2016

Hey all I thought, I would throw my two cents in regarding the announcements on the Waratah drains. In my view, the way that the voice sounds at the moment is fine. I understand, people may feel that it sounds strange and unhuman with the downward in flexion however, I personally find this easier on...

Re: Rail Observations - May 2016

Hey all. Regarding the question of the announcements on the A sets, I personally like the updated version of the announcement files. The reasoning for this is the station names have been recorded with downward inflection. This is in my view better on the ear especially when the list of station names...

Re: Rail Observations - February 2014

No clue it's been like it all day. I don't get how. Train from MacArthur cannot stop at riverwood and padstow but a revesby starter can. They're both island platforms what would affect trains from MacArthur stopping, if they're is a speed restriction and they have to cut stops to stay on time that'...

if they built the vft in stages its a least an incentive to go the hole way and finish it. I just don't see the population to support it especially in country nsw and the SE of qld though opperating via the gc is a good idea.
