These buses will be leased to regular route operators when the rail replacement service is not required.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2024

I'd love to know how on earth they need 200 buses for rail replacement (some major, lengthy disruptions planned?), and who, exactly, gets to operate these - unless TMR themselves plan to do it? Can't see this being of relevance to the TfB thread. My friends and I guess these buses will be rented to...

If I was right, that location is the Bus Stop Brisbane, a comprehensive bus dealer. They sell King Long and Yutong as well.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2024

It seems the Free Loop 30 and 40 have swapped their fleets. The Spring Hill Loop 30 is now using the Yutong E12, while the Downtown Loop 40 is using the Volvo BZL. Is Brisbane Transport evaluating each model's hill-climbing capability? Also, I saw some E's buses are now deploying the digital mirror ...

This is on buses that have had a barrier/cage retrofitted.
But hopefully, they will roll out to every bus in the coming months.

Will new diesel/diesel-hybrid buses be coming to Brisbane in the coming months? Some of my friends who work in related a manufacturer have disclosed this information, indicating that a great number of Scania Hybrid buses are heading to Queensland.

Any words for the Yutong E12 trial (E6001-E6004) in TfB? How is their performance? Does the BCC plan to purchase any Yutong E12 in the future?

I also noticed in your video that the driver cab is now fully enclosed for driver safety. Thanks for watching my vid...

Re: Volvo B8L/Gemilang Eco DD's

I'd doubt Bustech would want to end CDI production until they get their EV version sorted out. Maybe the Gemilangs are cheaper and they're just seeing how they stack up against the CDIs. Gemilang is cheaper for sure, but the bus company purchased the B8L because it is a Volvo and its D8K engine is ...

It seems that many buses now have their radio removed. Why and is this permanent?
BTW, when will we see smart-ticketing facilities on BT's buses?
