Re: FRESH FOOD.

Same with lollies - a few 'cobbers' , freckles, gummy teeth, musk sticks etc - you'd tell the grocer how much you wanted to spend and they'd fill a brown or white bag for you. Now kids get a weeks supply of lollies in one sealed bag from the sweets aisle and go through them in a day. I picked up one...

Likewise, can a hard copy be bought anywhere else other than via Amazon ? eg Bus Museum in Sydney or ARHS bookshop ?

Re: Tuck Lee Buses

There is/was a 'Grayson Tuck-Lee' involved with Eggtranz P/L of Mudgee since about '97. Sold off school runs and the Co now runs two TV registered coaches based in Mudgee. I could never work out if that was the same family connection. Likewise 'androconium' growing up in Blacktown (Palmers territory...

Don't forget one of the Fogg's (forgot his first name - Port Stephens Coaches) has I believe a share in Cooma Coaches, so might explain the 'long way from home' and doing train replacement.

A few more planes parked at Alice Springs the past couple of weeks, most notably from Hong Kong Express (a320s, a321’s) and a few Cathay Pacific planes (a333, 773) Today Cathay Pacific sent 2 77W planes to Alice Springs boneyard. If I’m correct one of them was at least 6 years old. I don't think th...

I haven't seen a photo from any time, let alone 20 years ago, on the Victorian Photos page for a very long time. Despite being promoted on the BCSV site, I think most of our Victorian friends abandoned sharing their collections on here a long time ago. Facebook seems to be the go, which is a pity.

Brings back some memories of rail travel in my younger days. Looks like original windows except for one side of the rear carriage.

Re: Ex Grayline Cdi sitting at Kangaroo Bus Lines depot yard Burpengary QLD

There was only the one as a touring coach - Bustech CDi of Australia Wide Coaches Alexandria ( ex TV 7730) operating in Gray Line livery. It mainly worked the daily Blue Mountains tour from Sydney back in "the good old days".

Thanks captainch for that info again. Yes, Mrs Warren was the ladies name - I wonder if Warren Rd in Marrickville has a family connection or just coincidence ? Just found the answer by looking up their fleet lists. All 3 are shown at Heatherbrae as C48FTL being registered on 16/7/2020 and in 'new Busways' livery. Congrats to the moderator of the lists on such a quick update.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2020

While on Busways I notice from the ABC Magazine Bus Sales date for July that Busways have taken delivery of 3 Volvo B8Rs with Irizar bodies and reclining seats (49 seaters). A new area of operation (after many years out of coach charter) or an existing service ?

I'm hearing 39 Cathay Pacific aircraft will be arriving and parked at Alice Springs by the end of August. Apparently 5 Airbus A320's passed through Darwin yesterday 12 August with another 6 due today. Elsewhere its been posted that up to 100 aircraft from various airlines will be there by the year e...

Re: The last manual route buses in Sydney

While not strictly meeting all the criteria for this post (route bus & Sydney), still running in Katoomba is BM Transit 3774 MO, a Volvo B10M Mk IV with Volgren CR221 body of 12.1999 which has a traditional manual transmission and operating on school runs. I assume its twin at Valley Heights 3752 MO...

Re: Kinetic Group fleet changes.

My point being that while this is called Kinetic Group fleet changes, the Queensland moves dominate here by far - obviously a more enthusiastic bunch of spotters. Any change to the other operations (eg Telfords) could be easily missed by the sheer volume of Queensland updates. Just a thought !

Re: Locomotive CLP12 'Casper' and CLF3 'Space Ghost'

From what I can find online (sorry I'm not much of a rail enthusiast), in mid 2019 Southern Shorthaul Railroad (SSR) acquired locomotives CLF1, CLF3, CLP9, and CLP12. I captured CLP12 some weeks ago passing through Katoomba in its all white garb and named 'Casper'. Today in the same spot (but from t...
