Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2021
What about 1462? That's a Path bus so IF it were going anywhere it would probably go Kalgoorlie or Geraldton, but neither of those towns have any NHs left to replace so I doubt it will be going anywhere any time soon, if at all. Current approach seems to be keeping buses with the same operator wher...

Re: PTA / Transperth Service Changes - 2021
Why are no train replacement buses operating? Train replacement buses only operate when trains services are cancelled. Other than the three weekend closures during this disruption, trains will be operating and so replacement buses are not required. Furthermore, Transperth do not have sufficient bus...

So what? You do realise shifts can contain more than just circle, right???Enviro 500 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 2:41 pm Well, Transdev practically owns Freo anyway. I've seen a 999 bus operated by Transdev de-bus everyone upon reaching Freo, then change to 511 bound for Murdoch.

Re: PTA / Transperth Service Changes - 2021
Not sure if Beckenham does much (if any) Cockburn work. A lot of late-night trips down there are done by Volvos, but without wrote knowledge of what bus belongs where, I cannot say what depot they're from (obviously not Southern River! 😂). If all three Swan depots do those feeders from Cockburn, th...

Obviously not. That's why Bus-1809 typed 1923 instead of 112, 113 or 117.
Again, not unusual at all.

Re: PTA / Transperth Service Changes - 2021
Interesting list of changes. I'm so used to seeing a dozen instances of 'trips withdrawn due to poor patronage' whenever one of these pops up, but this time around it's almost entirely additional trips, and four new routes. Quite refreshing to see!

After having nothing but B8 rigids for close to 18 months now... They're probably well and truly in the habit of entering all new buses as B8RLEsEnviro 500 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 05, 2021 6:15 pm Apparently Perthbus.info has mistakenly classified 3104 as a rigid B8. Hope they have since rectified it.

Re: Transport In Review 2020
I think just worth noting that this isn't a prediction thread, rather a review thread... I agree. In case people forget, the topic is 'Stuff that happened in 2020'. Not stuff that's happening in 2022, or in people's imaginations... It's getting pretty annoying to see so many threads being cluttered...

Re: Transport In Review 2020
Looks good, only thing I'd add is December also saw Path's final NHs withdrawn from revenue service. Good chance (but unconfirmed at this stage) December also saw the last NHs for Transdev (the remaining CR226Ls) parked up too. And I'm not sure if it's noteworthy enough to make your list, but 1434 w...

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2020
Marmion shifts venturing up north? Sounds like a 46* series deployment. Given that every route that runs between Whitfords and Joondalup is a 46x... I don't go up that way often (though shall start returning there soon now that the 1200's time is approaching), but the last time I did, Beenyup B8 28...

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2020
There's a lot of shared running between Joondalup and Marmion these days, especially common seeing Joondalup stuff on Warwick routes. Not so much the other way, though. There are a few, but not many Marmion shifts that venture up to Joondy

It's such a common occurrence, they need to have spares readily available. For every incident like 2033 that makes it onto the news there's 20 incidents that don't. 3207 and 3208 in service at Beenyup, which should leave 1850 as the final NH at that depot.

Presumably you're on about the infrastructure Diagnostic Vehicle, or IDV001. It zips up and down all the lines every so often (I'd guess about once a week?) to... Do whatever it does. The tech on it is well beyond my feeble mortal mind but it's certainly full of fancy lasers gizmos and gadgets. I'm ...

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2020
Also, what is the ratio of CV and Beckenham shifts on 998/999? Based on nothing but my own experience, the FULL circles seem roughly split across the three operators pretty evenly. If I had to break them down I'd estimate: 35% Fremantle 30% Morley/Bayswater 25% Canning 10% Claremont/Shenton Park Be...

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2020
Anyway, the circle route is managed by Canning, so that explains why this area has one of the highest boarding figures. Managed by, yes, but that doesn't mean that any pax boarding a bus anywhere on the circle counts as a Canning contract boarding. I'll happily admit I don't know how patronage on t...

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2020
Has anyone else noticed SP/MC buses seemingly having a high presence on the 998/999’s of recent? I was under the impression that all Swan’s full Circles were operated by CV, but clearly not. Yeah I feel they've been gradually picking up more and more circle runs since around the time Mount Claremon...
