Re: Where did Perth's trolleybuses go?
Thanks for the topic. I grew up in Wembley and I loved the trolley buses that used to run along Grantham Street. I recall seeing the last trolley bus doing it's final run. It was 51 years ago this month since the last service. My user name, "FLOREAT 90", is because of my fascination with t...

Re: PTA / Transperth Service Changes - 2020
Two years ago, residents in the City of Cockburn (around Coogee, specifically) took part in a survey to determine the need for a Sunday bus service down Cockburn Road during the Summer months in particular. Apparently, the conclusion was there is 'strong support' for an improved bus service into th...

Re: PTA / Transperth Service Changes - 2020
Does anyone know if the new Route 281 will appear in Timetable 94 similar to Route 279 appearing in Timetable 89? They both operate on school days only. Does the fact that they are numbered 2XX and not 7XX means that the services get published in a printed bus timetable and not just listed on the Tr...

Re: Bus Routes - What would you do if you were in charge?
EXTENSION Route 66: Morley - Glendalough via Perth Busport & Subiaco Stn Regarding this proposal I do think that there is some merit. Having worked in the Hay Street / Roberts Road precinct before, the only transport option for access to/from the city is Route 28 which has an off-peak frequency...

Mandurah Line "K" Stopping Pattern Services
Is anyone aware if there are plans to extend the number of Mandurah Line services to Rockingham Station (shown as the K Stopping Pattern in the timetable)? Currently there is only one service a day departing Perth Underground Station at 5.57 am and returning from Rockingham Station at 6.37 am. Is th...

Re: Thornlie Line Extension
In regards to the Thornlie to Cockburn rail extension, I was considering if this could coincide with the current "W" pattern services on the Mandurah line, which terminate at Cockburn, becoming "K" pattern services and extending to Rockingham. There is currently only one train pe...

Route 335 isn't being withdrawn. In fact, two additional trips will operate in each direction (from Ellenbrook in the AM and from Midland in the PM). In addition, Route 355 will commence operations. Monday to Friday only at a 30 minute peak and hourly off-peak frequency, between Whitfords Stn and E...

Re: Transperth Service Changes - 2017
Always thought Leederville was the wrong place for it anway when Glendalough would have better onward connections, and would create a new north-south route (and better coverage of Wembley) rather than duplicating the already frequent Cambridge st services? A Route 97 extension from Subiaco Station ...

Re: Transperth Service Changes - 2017
Another option for the Fraser Point extension would have been to continue Routes 150 and 160 along Adelaide Tce to a RH turn at Plain St, LH turn at Riverside Dve then RH turn into Fraser Point. This removes the Hill St, Terrace Rd and Bennett St loop. The outward journey to Booragoon and Fremantle ...
