Re: WA Transport General Discussion & Questions
Freo will be moving sooner or later, PTA want all the sites to be PTA-owned - the current Palmyra depot is PTA-controlled on leased land from the cemetery next door*
*I think it's from the cemetery, correct me if I'm wrong - it is 100% leased land, however.

It's best not to phrase it like an objective observation, though.

C-Series/TP4004 Testing Double Stack - 16/08/24
Late yesterday morning, I was made aware of C-Series set 132 (the sixth-built, and most recently handed over to the PTA) doing test runs on the Airport Line. Given that I had to be in the area for other reasons, I elected to pack my D3100 and wait for a good photo opportunity: https://live.staticfli...

Re: PTA / Transperth Service Changes 2024
Are these maps located elsewhere as the above come up as dead links (404)? Considering there was no accompanying announcement, I'd hazard a guess that these weren't meant to be uploaded to the website yet, but they've already been posted - and saved to the Web Archive, nonetheless: MAP 1 | Ellenbro...

Nope, a quick look at Transperth's SearchResults API shows that they've only been uploaded in the past 4-5 hours:

Nifty find, especially considering how hard the search function is to use... since it seems that's the only place to find them at the moment.

Whenever I click a post notification a different fatal error shows up, although I can still navigate normally through the subforums just fine.

Re: Staffed Metropolitan Train Stations
Missing the poor Airport Line :( From experience, Redcliffe, Airport Central and High Wycombe all have full staffing. My mistake, I did mean to include them (edited accordingly). And Elizabeth Quay isn't mentioned, unless it is listed as under Mandurah or Yanchep Line despite being a CBD sta...

Re: Staffed Metropolitan Train Stations
A quick browse doesn't give me a full list, however you can find out whether or not a train station is staffed using the Stations & Maps page of the Transperth website. Select a station using the drop-down boxes, make sure you hit the UPDATE button, then scroll to the "General" categor...

Re: PTA / Transperth Service Changes 2024
Only took them about 4 hours from first notice of their upload to updating the webpage, making my complaints look extremely unwarranted (which, in the grand scheme of things, is a good outcome :D ) - the page links now work the normal way for me. There seem to be a few quality control issues, howeve...

Re: PTA / Transperth Service Changes 2024
Although there isn't a full service changes page, updated bus and train timetables for the Yanchep opening have been uploaded to the Transperth website, as usual by changing the date format in the URL, rather than actually being linked anywhere at the moment  Airport Line "Armadale/Thornl...

Throwaway joke... might need to clean up the glasses, and/or be 100% sure that you're reading the fleet numbers correctly. Much more likely to have been 2611 and 2612 that you saw. Again, as Off the Rails has said: pictures or else it didn't happen, , especially given that (1) nobody else has seen i...

Re: WA Transport General Discussion & Questions
Since last week, there's been two pairs of A-Series sets (i.e. 2x 4-car sets) assisting running peak-hour W shuttles on the Joondalup and Mandurah lines. I'll hazard a guess that this is just to keep their wheels turning during a period of reduced rollingstock demand, but someone in the know would b...

Re: PTA / Transperth Service Changes 2024
It appears that the upgrades to the Guildford Rd services have been brought forward, to operate from the completion of the bus link road at Bayswater as opposed to waiting for the Ellenbrok Line to open - however, they still seem set to open the Ellenbrook line "later this year." Bayswater...
