Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2020

Yes, 2233 is one of the elder B7s. For reference, 1462 was the first B7 for TP, registered in May 2011, while 2233 was registered in April 2012. I'd put at least 60 B7s between the two. Article is here: Dawesville Bypass crash | Mandurah Coastal Times . It seems the picture has been removed, rather ...

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2020

Most shuttle B7s are early Optimus models as far as I've seen, some of Southern River's OCs have been seen assisting in some cases. Basically any spare TP buses from wherever they can be sourced, though it looks like mainly Path and ex/Swan buses were used. Most non-NH buses are still used for regul...

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2020

Their seating isn't outdated per se, 3001 and 3002 just use different seats from the rest of the fleet. 3001 uses whatever seat BT used back in 2009, while 3002 uses what looks like the Styleride Premier Protean. 3000 however uses McConnell Centra seats, prevalent on the later O405NHs and on all the...

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2020

2039 and 2040 are back from refurb (yet to see 2041), marking the end of rigids wearing the 1999-2009 livery that adorned 10 years worth of deliveries. The final buses wearing that livery are the 3 oddball artics, namely 3000-3002.

Re: Bus Routes - What would you do if you were in charge?

^ I would also like to add that the original comment I made about those routes is because the 23, 102 and 107 all originally serviced the old Wellington Street Bus Station, however were never returned to Perth Busport since it opened.

Re: Bus Routes - What would you do if you were in charge?

I beg to differ. 23 & 970 Alright, on this one, I do agree with Squiddy . While I disagree with the concept of a merger, I think an extension to Perth would be beneficial for a peak hours direct link from the Busport (which is closer to interchange with most train services than EQBS) to UWA and QEII...

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2020

However 906 is the Fremantle Line RR route number, and the Freo line had scheduled works today which I assumed Swan would cover, given the work is on Claremont Station.

Was Path doing any rail replacement work today? 2313 ran down Wanneroo Rd not in service but displaying 906 on the desto - driver probably just forgot to switch his desto over.

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2020

I don't think the three CNG demos will be completely replaced for another 8 or so years, given they were delivered 2007-2009, they should still have some life left in them. That being said, they don't seem to have gone through a mid-life refurb as of yet, although it would be prime time now.

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2020

I was in Perth September 21-Oct 1 and among my observations which will be of no surprise to any of you:  1. A LOT of artics running on the 950, even into the evening... and yes, I know it's because of the UWA extension... plus the occasional artic on the 67/68 & 48, if I recall correctly. 2. ...

Re: List of Perth Bus Routes by Contractor

Ran through Wikipedia (not always the most reliable source, but typically reliable enough when it comes to routes) and edited the list accordingly. You should now be able to access the list through the link in my signature. Feel free to notify me if I've made any more errors or mistakes, or if the l...

Re: List of Perth Bus Routes by Contractor

Unfortunately, busdriver12 no longer has the route listing grouped by contract area. The link in his signature is a route/timetable index, with operators of each route at the bottom, by the route description, and hasn't been updated as of March 15. I have, however, compiled my own current list using...
