Re: Newcastle light rail, renewal & integrated transport
It all boils down to TfNSW's longstanding poor capability for procuring the best vehicles/vessels/designs/suppliers for the job. sadly of which was done and precured under the previous government. I really don't think members of the public are all too keen to see this finger pointing, Instead they ...

Re: Newcastle light rail, renewal & integrated transport
And so I dig up this Newcastle thread regarding our regions very beloved 2.7KM light rail network, The recent Newcastle Herald article exposes the ongoing issues surrounding CAF LRV 2155, which has been out of service for almost two years and already mentioned to being "salvaged for parts"...

On another observation, I noticed Fleet-lists has a new addition for Sid-Foggs Fullerton Cove TV 409B, I may have spotted this new coach parked up at the back of a warehouse in Rutherford (Same place I've been seeing coaches occasionally randomly pop up and then eventually vanish including some from...

I wonder if any will be game to take them on in the preservation scene now that retirement is looming? Not 100% sure if it is in preservation yet but NKV tours already has a few of the ex Newcastle B12's (and former m/o 1407 that was dereg for parts) Sydney Bus Museum has government bus day upcomin...

The Kebab place I went to yesterday on my work-break that took my payment for a chicken snack-pack to only then inform me after I paid (via card) that they ran out of chicken meat, I'm not joking. Why can staff not communicate anymore and pass the message on prior to someone ordering that their out ...

Re: Other Body Builders Discussion / Observations
Doesn't really help either that Ebusco outside of certain European markets isn't really a well known brandname and would take a lot to build up a reputation here and compete with Scania & Volvo. After the 2022 Bus & Coach Expo it seemed everything in terms of development for them here really...

Re: Bus Observations 2024.
My guess is this is either BCI or Yutong although I suspect It in the long run it will appear to be Yutongs we'll be seeing as Transit Systems already operates them, although as an electric variant as part of their ZEB fleet. on top of that, It does make perfect sense to order from an brand one woul...

No photos however the bus was spotted in Cessnock this morning, Rego SSJ000, appears to be a 1997 Volvo B12 Alan B Denning Galaxy, however with an unknown operator, nothing comes up in fleet-lists for the last 4 Digits of this VIN nor SSJ000, any idea who this belongs too including previous operator...

Re: Rail Observations 2024
With the bus service that more or less parallels the railway line operating only hourly, is there really any demand? As Tonyp pointed out, the existing bus service is only Hourly & less on weekends which wouldn't motivate many people to catch it into Maitland, If then a Cessnock to Newcastle In...

Why does Channel 9 and its spinoffs (Gem etc.) keep advertising religious nutjobs as soon as the sun goes down? Not even 7 stoops that low, instead they spam infomercials about ear wax, and 7 is the worst FTA in Australia (thankfully Sky isn't free). FTA is as dead to me as is dial-up Internet in t...

Apparently there was a red Sydney Explorer O305 Trux model that just sold on Ebay for around $60, lucky score to whoever picked up that as I've previously seen that model going for $150 tops. And the gold one too! https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/126378198366?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-200...
