Re: PTA / Transperth Service Changes - 2019

Extra 66s are a surprise, though. Given the high frequency of the 950 (plus other services along part of Beaufort Street), and if the powers that be support the existence of the 66 at this point in time... Wouldn't it make more sense to return the 66 to a true Express service? The time savings of t...

Re: PTA / Transperth Service Changes - 2019

With regards to 425 service changes:
The timetable shows services almost every 10 minutes from Stirling, 6:04 - 7:24 am, Monday to Saturday (more frequent I think than even the 950 on Saturdays), which is curious. I wonder what's taking place at Karrinyup (compared to other shopping centres too).

Re: Transperth Service Changes - 2016

The 940 doesn't meet 900-series standards as it only runs every 30 minutes on weekends

Re: Route 960 and Fitzgerald St Peak Period Bus Lanes

All of the recent 900-series routes (hence, excluding the 920 and 940) have 15 minute service 7 days per week along their whole length, so it feels inconsistent for the 960 north of Mt Lawley to only run at high frequency during peak hour. A 15 minute frequency along the whole length of the route wo...

Re: Transperth Service Changes - 2016

Perhaps the 920 and 940 should be renumbered to 925 and 945 to show that they are high frequency buses on weekdays ( 5 days per week) but not on weekends. It would make sense with the 955 already being at that stage (956 trips should be renumbered to 955 short runs), and all the other 9x0 buses oper...

Re: WA Transport General Discussion & Questions - 2016

I've looked at the Easter Services announcement on the Transperth website, and it states that trains will simply run on a Sunday/Public Holiday schedule on Good Friday, in contrast to previous years where services would be cut back to half-hourly (and hourly on the Thornlie Line) on Good Friday. Is ...

Re: Transperth Service Changes - 2016

I live in the area, the proposal looks great to me. Hopefully they'll be able to blend the 384 service into the other Wanneroo Road services to enhance frequencies. Frequencies could be increased from every 10 to 7.5 minutes during the off-peak, 15 to 10 minutes on Saturdays, and 30 to 20 minutes on...

Re: Perth CBD and surrounds: Public Transport Discussion

I agree with the premise that St Georges Terrace is hitting its capacity in terms of bus numbers. Off-board payment and all-door boarding should reduce dwell time and increase capacity, but there's also a lot that could be done in streamlining route structure. Throughrouting would reduce unused and ...

Re: Transperth service changes

I suppose it serves as a (really) short turn for the 310/311/312 corridor. Really should go to Viveash now instead of Swan Districts though, so that buses going further afield don't need to divert so far off their route.

Re: Transperth service changes

The 354 does not need to be 'straightened', as even if it avoided Nollamara shops (taking Flinders St and Ravenswood Dr) it would still be less direct than via Nollamara Avenue. The purpose of the 354 is to serve Nollamara, allowing trips to both Nollamara SC and Mirrabooka Square, and if 370 trips ...
