Re: Ex PTC/UTA Layland DD in Campbelltown festival street pa

The colour scheme here is NOT McVicar livery in any form! The livery shown on this Atlantean would be more akin to Toronto or Punchbowl (who had Deckers in this scheme)

Would anyone have a copy of the booklet handed out at an early NSW Bus show on how to care for your CCMC Body and Fittings that they might scan and post here please?

Re: Once upon a time - Bowman St.Marys PART 1

Peter, You most likely have a Leyland 401. Which state are you in? If NSW speak to the Sydney Road Transport Museum, (NOT the Sydney Bus Museum Leichhardt one), as I know they have a workshop manual for the 401.

Re: Coachmaster Viking VK55

That's the one Centralian! It was Green and White in Melbourne.

There was a PMC Viking at Cooma Coaches. Was told he wouldn't sell it because he didn't want people being stuck behind it giving his company a bad name!

Re: Buses in the 50's and 60's. Hurstville & Others Suburbs.

This vehicle looks like a CCMC bodied Izuzu RE that went to Allways then ended up in a paddock near Coopernook NSW. It was registered on mo plates yet had a sedan front door. I do believe that you may have hit it right on the head WSP. I remember the bus in question at ALLWAYS in the terribleBlue/B...

Re: Buses in the 50's and 60's. Hurstville & Others Suburbs.

The Ambassador is definately a Superior body, the one in your photo a CCMC. Looks like it has Leyland Nut Guards on front wheels. I know it has a CCMC grille but I still wonder if the rest of it is CCMC or Superior. I know there was a CCMC design similar which only had a handful built [Moores Tours...

:) On another note, I really think that discussion such as this deserves it's own category, an "Historic/Yesteryear" area where discussion on transport up until say the 1980 can take root.

Just a thought.

PS, m/o5537 is stressing out, hoping that someone might post piccies of the Kogarah Bedfords!

Dear, Dear Bus Riders. I came across the i...

The driver changed it at Bexley North? Yes that's correct. When the service was started it had no rou...
