Re: Bus Depots Of Private Bus Companies Before MTT Took over?

Sorry for bringing up an old post.

My understanding is Slattery's had multiple bus depots, and that there at one stage was a depot on Wilpena Avenue (Klemzig) that multiple operators once used. Can anyone confirm any locations? Thanks in advance

Re: EVERY Adelaide Metro Route

Certainly sounds like an interesting idea! I'd love to photograph every bus route in Adelaide, thats a bit of a long term goal, however with the new network inbound I'd say it'd be easier to photograph/ride each route.

Re: Ageing buses to be replaced by SA gov in $300 mil

3D printing will speed things up. I fail to see how 3D printing could speed up the process of Bus Manufacturing. The technologies currently available would not be able to produce parts able to withstand the stresses of being a bus longer than current normally manufactured parts. I'm happy to be pro...

Re: x MTT Bus

It is possible, some other Adelaide buses ended up in NZ, such as one or two B58Hs.
The 6XX you described would indicate if it were ex Adelaide, it would be an AEC Regal MKIV.

Re: New Bustech for Lonsdale

I will say, a few weeks back I got several messages from friends of mine. They all boarded the same bus and were amazed at the design, even though they were not bus enthusiasts, they thought it was the best thing they'd ever seen. This bus just happened to be 1906, and all I heard from them were com...

Re: New Bustech for Lonsdale

I've seen the interior pictures, The seats stop at the end of the windows, so I assume the rest is Electrical Systems including Batteries.

One thing to note, the bus looks to be entirely Low-Floor until the last two or three seats, so that's quite good!

The only Volgren K2()0UB in service here at the moment is Southlink 3230.
I believe 3276, 3277, 3278 are also K series scanias, K270UB's with CR228L Bodies. 3230 would be the only K280UB though

Re: New City Digital bus stop

Klemzig Interchange and Dumas St Park n' Ride also have the Real Time Information Signs. I find it odd they have chosen a new design. (The digital part, not the physical casing, I rather like the case.) I'd probably like to see some electronic ("real time") information provided at Adelaide Airport; ...

You're welcome for the heads up Lt. Commander. :P I too have all 6, shame they have to top up with $5 credit when you buy them, that would have halved my cost, but nothing I can do about that. I wonder if they will come out with more designs each year, or if it will be a once off thing. Also, I agre...

G'day mate, I'd have to confirm, but from my understanding BRU buses which were in Murton's City Bus livery will stay with Murton's new owners. BRU services to Broken Hill from Adelaide are still operational and will not cease any time soon. If you have any other questions feel free to reply here or...
