Re: 1GRL423: The Only B8RLE Orange School Bus
For those who want to see some other pics of this bus, i finally got some pics in the dash and interior since the last time i saw it at Hartfield Park in Forrestfield for an interschool soccer carnival a month ago. Since this is an actual school bus, 2x2 coach style seating with seat-belts is imple...

Re: Proposed route 760 Seaford - Cranbourne
I sampled the 760 in the early afternoon and 12 pax boarded at Cranbourne with half getting off in the Carrum Downs area after turning off Hall Road with a couple more exiting on Ballarto Road and the remaining 4 going to Seaford, 3 stayed on the bus to go to the Seaford shops. Not the travel patter...

Re: Allans Wallaroo Leyland
The Bendy and the Mark IV were caught up in a failed extremely ambitious museum/cropping venture down Drouin way, note the CH plates on the bendy and the mark IV, IIRC there was a dispute over storage fees owing and access was denied to the 4 buses, I'm unsure if the other 2 buses were part of the m...

It seems the "bridge has been fixed" and "they do care about the east" if sending Vlocity DMUs there is considered caring: https://www.vline.com.au/News-Alerts/News-Articles/VLocity-trains-to-Bairnsdale The VLocity day was held today at Bairnsdale with a standard set, not the greatest for the full ...

Re: 2018 Melbourne Bus Contracts
Has anyone seen the fine print in the new offer? It appears as if it is for 7 years and then? Up for tender? Doesn't appear to be any mention of another roll over of the contracts. It also appears as if the PTV and Government have their heads in the sand over fare evasion which is rife on buses from...

I spent a few days on King Island last week. The King Island fleet list which covers all operators on the island only lists five buses. I managed to get photos of four buses, none of which are listed - two of them four wheel drives to tour the southern end of the island. With the size of the group ...

Re: 30 buses taken out of service- safety defects
How do we know they are not taking any action? I think PTV would prefer to see the services operated by another operator rather than not at all. Given the lack of announcements about fines and the fact that the bus shortage and service reliability issues has worsened over the four years that Transd...

Following a trend begun in NSW where Punchbowl took over Goulburn B.S. and Forest have now acquired two operations around Coffs Harbour. Not to mention Busways having taken over all those North Coast towns that were ruined by the King bros. Surely the granddaddy of that would be JA Gilbert (now the...

3350 was the first one, last reported as being scrapped, clearly not!
3511, however was in fact numerically the 13th, although 3506, the 12th was burnt out on it's maiden trip.
