Re: Public Transport in Adelaide at a cross road

Ah yes, the R. Forgot about that one. That would make seven however what about the L? Ran from Noarlunga Interchange and up South Rd then left onto Sherriffs Rd to the bus depot. I think the official termination point was Stop 49 South Rd. If that still runs it makes eight. Used to be the last Up se...

The 721 has six variations not seven.
The 750 also has six variations.
I believe these two routes have the most.

Re: Interchange upgrades

Old Reynella upgrade gives us a Metrocard recharge machine located in Zone A, an electronic departure display, a driver amenity room (and DTI have already complained to the bus companies about the state of the toilets), a bike cage, more lighting and plants and a painted wall. Overall I think it's a...

Re: App for alerting drivers to waiting passengers

I regularly see drivers use the BCU to do what I assume is logging fare evasion incidents. Yeah there are a load of options now to report fare evaders, infrastructure problems, traffic holdups and a few others. Tbh it's just something else to get in the way of a driver keeping their eyes on the roa...

Re: The Random Admet Question Thread

Even the windscreen in buses is a source of reflection... True but these reflect images from inside the bus and are not generally an issue because after a while you don't notice them as they're commonplace whereas the protective screens can reflect images from outside the front of a bus at odd angl...

Re: Any one know if Adelaidemetro fares will increase

Instead of increasing fares they would be better served by catching the fare evaders. Simply increasing the price further penalises those who do the right thing and validate.

2718 will never see service again. Fire damage to the rear plus slowly being stripped for spare parts now make it uneconomic to repair.

Re: Buses out of service for long periods

Just noticed Lonsdale 2718 is missing from this list. Rear end caught fire on 7 April 21 at Flinders Uni and it's been sitting in Lonsdale depot since then with a blackened rear end and several parts cannibalised from it.

Re: School Bus Services January 2022

Some of those seem a bit silly. For example there's no need for two 770's. Currently it follows the 733 route as far as the end of Investigator Drive and runs non stop from there and is an artic. The 771, also to Aberfoyle, starts from the next stop along the 733 route (Pimpala Rd) and runs via Reyn...
