Re: Denning Hi-Deck Landseer History.

Looking at that photo of the 3 Landseer's it seems that the drivers position in the Hi-Deck was the same as a standard Landseer :)

Re: GM/Spicer Driving Styles

I have a 7 speed Fuller Direct, that if ever needed any work would be replaced with a 13speed which gives you a split in each gear in high range :)

I have both my alternators set to 27.6v and intend to set the combi the same and program the float as low as I can so as not to provide any charge I see no way to keep the combi charge a...

Re: Lithium Batteries for our Conversions

I have a piece of ply on each end to hold them firm
My plan is not to overcharge them so that they dont swell, well that is the plan!
From what I have seen a bad overcharge and not much is going to hold them

Re: DENNING DUAL TAG COACHES

Thanks Rod , some good info in this thread. From what I can gather all the Dual tyred coaches were a foot shorter in the wheelbase which would make sense so as to get the loading on the rear wheels now which ones drove and handled the best? Dual or single tyres I guess that the duals would stop bett...

My Hi-Deck ex Deluxe has a dual tag and 6V92, Were there many like that or did most of the Hi-Decks with duals have 8V92s?

This is the box that I built for the generator along with a auto start system http://i1189.photobucket.com/albums/z440/KevinF1/1216/P6080324_zps6fa03c09.jpg It has a thermo-fan in the rear for airflow and has cut the noise by maybe 50% It is also plumbed into the main fuel tank being fed by a electr...

Re: whats your favourite bus for a motorhome?

Back to the OP I think a Denning or Tourmaster as we are using older buses. Both of these were built in Australia out of very common components at the time.

Some of these common parts are now not so common!

They are both well built buses that make a good motorhome platform

Lithium Batteries for our Conversions

I thought that I would start a post about Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries that I have discovered thanks to Rustbucket These things seem to be a nobrainer for a deep cycle pack as they are now very affordable and have a fantastic cycle life. eg 70% DOD >7000 times I am now thinking of replacing my s...

Re: Coach for a Tooltruck?

Went to Clark Rubber today and came home with some 20mm sound control material which I intend to line an enclosure for it.
My reason for a diesel is so I can hook it to the main tank and not have to worry about fuel

Re: Coach for a Tooltruck?

That generator is a Diesel Inverter 6kva, A great unit but too noisy. Does anybody have some good ideas on how to soundproof it? I have run the exhaust down and out the drivers side which got rid of any exhaust noise sound But it is still way too loud, I intend to build a box out of 20mm plywood wit...
