Re: Bayside Bus Services:
I always liked the sound of the old two axle 0303 the throbbed of the Merc V8 diesel and the Bayside ones leaking like a tap that hasn`t been turned off properly when it hissed down rain.Which happen when I was on a Bayside 0303 going to Redland Bay at least one thing I didn`t need to have a bath I...

Re: Updating old bus chassis
The most important aspect is the chassis and running gear - if they are shot, your project is doomed - if you were looking at a project I would seek the advise of a vehicle surveyor and get an engineers report on said chassis and running gear - be aware that these suffer from wear and a mechanical t...

Re: Australian Pacific:The history.

These where some of the most well appointed units with sylish liveries that were to be seen at the time and a class act....

Re: Historic Ambulances
great to see some beautiful old ambo's restored to original and not bastardised - the Farlane is gorgeous btw - I well remember the F100s in the late 80s and still recall the odd one painted in the mustard colour on my interstate express travels - great to see and good luck with restorations - back ...

Re: Kempsey Bus Crash - Rare Video Footage
Surely there would be less deaths/injuries if they were semitrailer buses rather than having a rear engine that keeps pushing them along. Maybe with today's technology coaches would be safer overall having a prime mover. What did they end up blaming? McCafferty's would have taken a bit of a hit (li...

Re: Kempsey Bus Crash - Rare Video Footage
Further to the clarification from Rod, all that was used from the original vehicles was the engine trans and rear axle combination. Still not good karma to use any items related to those units - economics or not - no different to using parts from an air crash on another aircraft or the steering whe...
