Re: [D] The different Bus types of Berlin (10 pics)

Do you get to see these D/Ds on the BVG 100 service they are a big bus.Picture from Wikipedia.

I hope I don't misunderstand you because of my bad English, but the Wikipedia photo is a modern DL-Bus from 2005. ;)
It's normally the only Bus type you can travell by on the Bus service 100 nowadays ...

Re: Sydney Buses - Mercedes Benz O405 (Mk5) 3252 CNG

Thank you for reporting us a little about its "biography". It's always a little sad loosing the old familiar vehicles.

Can you tell me what "Signal driver" means? Does that mean you have to give a signal to the Bus driver if you want to leave the Bus?

Re: [D] The different Bus types of Berlin (10 pics)

Thank you for your comments! :D
You should be lucky you can travel by your Buses for longer time! It's sad every time an old vehicle like the O 405N Buses or the SD 202 is going to be token out of service.
And by the way, the Historic Clubs have not so much space to park the oldtimers. :lol ...

Re: Four hours in Canberra

Yes, it did. Thanks! :)

Our city Buses have no space for bikes. But tour Buses have, they carry the bikes on a rack at the back side.

[D] The different Bus types of Berlin (10 pics)

Hello everyone!

As I promiesd … here a thread with photos of our many different Bus types we have got in Berlin. :)
I tried to upload as much different types as I could, but there are missing the 15m Bus MAN NL 313 and MAN NG 313. Maybe later. ;)

First let me explain …
• in Berlin the BVG is ...

Re: Four hours in Canberra

Great shots!
It really looks you always have nice weather there! :D

Can anyone explain what the steel frame at the front of some Buses is for?
It's strange, you cannot read the number plates because this frame hides it.

EDIT: Ok, I got it now.
I saw Bus400's photo thread …

But I ...

Re: New here

This is an interesting thought! I think most people in our country don't think that far.
But you shouldn't forget this emission-zone rule also includes the cars, except the one which are historic (you recognize them by the "H" as last letter on the number plate, for example "B-CN2886H".
You enter ...

Yah, that's right! Sorry for my English, I didn't know how to describe it.

And yes, I'll upload some photos. It's great to read you are intereseted in these Buses. I like them very much, too. :)

Re: New here

Hello again!

It is a pity that the O305/SL200s are already gone in Berlin. There are still a few O305s in city route service left in Australia (Sydney still has about 130 left in service, out of originally 1300), although all will be gone in a few years. Many O305/SL200s have been bought from ...

Oh thank you! This is a good advice.
Actually I know this forum software from a Train forum but it seems to be optionally, if linked photos are shown in the whole size or not.

Re: Action 670

About the age: This is strange. The O305 Buses already are historic in Germany. Maybe it's because Australia still has 'too' many of them.

I've a request: Would you like to show us an indoor photo of your Bus? (If you don't think this would be too personal).
I'm still wondering if O305 Buses have ...

Re: New here

Thank you, Randommann!

First I must confess, I don't know what VoV-style means. ^^'''
Ich used Google, but I got no answer. Is is a special paint?

Actually we have no O305 or SL200 Buses any more in our public transport, it's a pity. ^^'
Even the later generations like O405 and SL202, and even ...

Re: (TR) Solaris Urbino 18 Hybrid Testbus / Istanbul - Türke

Do you know something about the "history" of this Bus? Why Switzerland lends a Bus to Turkey?
It makes me wondering, 'cause Solaris is a Polish company.

Very nice pictures! :)

Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the ICE 2 yet, As they only operate on Berlin-Cologne Services, they are similar to the 1's just that they are shorter, but can be formed to create a whole train.

But you alread did get an ICE-2
The ICE-2 are the ICE-trains ...

Re: [DK] A rare Denmark O305

Are there any age limit laws for buses in Germany and Denmark???

I don't know how it works in Denmark, but of course your vehicle can be as old as you want. ;)
Big towns in Germany, like Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and so on have got a special city area where your vehicle must not sequester too much ...

The photos are great, too, first of all the sunset pic. ;)

Can you tell me, does the "H", the last letter of the number plate, mean, this Bus is historic?

I now this typ of series from Germany as well. O305 were driving in West Berlin before the Wall fell.

New here

Hello everyone =)

I'm from Germany and I found this bord by Google when I searched for original Bus numbers.
I'm Bus fan for some years now and I'm very interested in the public transport anyway.

I'm 20 years old and I'm living in the capital of Germany, Berlin. We have many, many Buses and the ...
