Was doing a little exploring and came across this. My main interest was the dreaded forced council amalgamations rendered the sign a historIc artefact.

It is at least functional, in that you can see an approaching bus from the seated position, something you can't do in many of the new Sydney CBD shelters carrying obstructive advertising pylons.....
