Kinetic Group acquires Redline
Australasian Bus & Coach is reporting today that the Kinetic Group have acquired Tasmanian Redline. Goes into more detail about each, but says subject to regulatory issues etc deal should be completed April/May 2021.
Think for yourself, while it's still legal !

In the article, it states:
School, Qantas, if any bus routes?
Can someone clarify what work are they doing for Transport for NSW?Kinetic operates long-term contracted bus services for key authorities including the Translink (Queensland), Transport for New South Wales, Auckland Transport and Environment Canterbury (Christchurch).

It would probably be school/charter/train replacement, since Telfords is under Kinetic.BAMBAM wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 9:14 pm In the article, it states:

Volgren all day, every day
Dear T80; If the decker's not a Volgren, I'm not interested.
Westbus Fairfield + Dandy Hub = perfection

Re: Kinetic Group acquires Redline
Some time ago they had at least one rail replacement contract. But now that such contracts are being included in the region contracts, I dont think they have any such contracts now. It could even be out of date wording. Schools are generally also included in the region contracts except for private schools routes of which Telfords operates quite a few, but not related to Transport for NSW.

Telfords would probably be "preferred" operators for emergency replacements, and would probably sub contract to other operators, especially for intercity substitution. I recall seeing some of the buses out a couple of weeks ago.
