Didn't think the route warranted such a large bus - maybe the roster included a trip on 518/525 earlier or later?

Re: Artic running on route 458
This trip on weekdays now seems to be permanently operated by an artic.

Re: Artic running on route 458
That would appear to be an absolute waste of capacity at the height of the PM peak hour.
So it leaves Top Ryde at 3.43 PM ON THE preceding 458 ar Burwood at 4.27pm.
Lay over for 16 minutes then does another 458 to Top Ryde at 4.43pm arriving AT 5.27pm.
From observations the 458 does not get massive patronage to warrant an artic.
Does anyone know what that shift does before and after these trips.
Surely the capacity could be put to better use over a better frame.
Makes you wonder ??

Totally agree. Thought the bus came off an inbound 525 but obviously it doesn't.burrumbus wrote:That would appear to be an absolute waste of capacity at the height of the PM peak hour.

Maybe it does an inbound city trip afterwards?
