How to identify bedford diesel engine

Hi All
New here, Im about to buy a 1977 Befdord 30' bus for a motor home.
I cant tell which engine it has. Owner says its 300 or 330 ? How can i tell ?? It has a 4 speed box
engine number is 736011
Chassis number is FJS99264 but from what i read i think its a typo and should beFJ599264.??
Any help would be great.

Will do during the week, if this helps.
engine number is at sump line right front of engine and looks identical to this one as best i can see except i think the oil filler is further forward a bit.

I think by 1977, the 500 diesel was the standard offering on their full size bus range, but I vaguely recall reading somewhere that there was also a slightly smaller capacity diesel of four hundred -something cubic inch offered in this period as well.

I think the smaller engine was 381CI? GM

I just found the old post mentioning the slightly smaller motor. It was the 466 ci but this may have been the predecessor to the 500ci, rather than being sold alongside. So I would say it is a 500ci in your bus.
EDIT: After googling, I found this old thread on identifying Bedford engines on this board!
