Re: General - Auckland (Part 3)
Spotted ex Leopard SL202 - #238 ( ex NZ Bus #1724?, Still with Leopard fleet numbers & Metro Destination sign ) at Botany the other day, could this be one of the two seen in AA Coaches Penrose yard?.
Re: General - Auckland (Part 3)
Indeed, what's with 825? That's one of the Zhongtong LCK6126HG ordered by Christchurch Bus Services but taken over by GoBus when brand new. Now it has Ritchies fleetname and colour flashes on the GoBus livery. What's it doing in Auckland?

Re: General - Auckland (Part 3)
At least 4 ex CBS Zhong Tongs on loan from Christchurch to Ritchies North Shore operation to overcome capacity issues and an increase in the Northern Express timetable - up to a bus every 2 minutes during peaks. When a bus has a full seated load it departs as there are at least two more waiting to load at one time. Less buses needed in Christchurch because of the earthquake. Will go back south at some stage. New buses on order for Ritchies for the Northern Express. Seen in service 821/822 and 825.

Wow a bus every 2 minutes!! Hopefully they order some arctics or buses with extra capacity to meet the need of this increasingly popular service.Petenz wrote:At least 4 ex CBS Zhong Tongs on loan from Christchurch to Ritchies North Shore operation to overcome capacity issues and an increase in the Northern Express timetable - up to a bus every 2 minutes during peaks. Yeah, get lots of NG313 artics, except try and keep them at a max of 18m in length! That fourth axle really slows the bus at Bayes.

So it looks like the 380 Airport service is up for some new BCI's. Just spotted a brand new bright orange one driving past my office. That's a pretty good deal if I can catch it from here in New Plymouth to Auckland Airport for $4.30.

Re: General - Auckland (Part 3)
Pretty sure it had an F-series plate, but it definitely had all the standard Route 380 Airporter decals over it. Went past pretty quick so unfortunately I didn't have time to get a photo.
Re: General - Auckland (Part 3)
Just one of the regular ones been down for a service check - all of them are being done - 395 is being used as the spare on the 380 while this work is being done - incidentally 395 is lettered for Taranaki routes - how many BCIs are in New Plymouth?

At least 4 up here, all tags. 2 at Carr Road all day, spoke to one of the drivers today, he and his off sider had brought two up from Hamilton for todays work, and were also taking them back. The 2 at Carr road were still there when I went home from work. Wonder why those are here?
Re: General - Auckland (Part 3)
This time they had headoffs there would be one bus leave Papakura & when it got to Manurewa ,the other bus would leave Manurewa as well on arrival at Otahuhu it would run empty back Manurewa ,i did a full shift of Manurewa /Otahuhu on 249 or 288 if there were two at Carr Road there must have been 6 here as there 4 being used on the shuttles.

Re: General - Auckland (Part 3)
Yuck... Too plain for such a big bus.
Re: General - Auckland (Part 3)
Just one BCI (395) at the moment, and a Zonda. More BCI's are to follow after the RWC finishes.Petenz wrote:Just one of the regular ones been down for a service check - all of them are being done - 395 is being used as the spare on the 380 while this work is being done - incidentally 395 is lettered for Taranaki routes - how many BCIs are in New Plymouth?
Apparently there are some issues with the side windows on one of the BCI's down for servicing.

2301/2/8/14 are known to be in a basic Go Wellington colour scheme. Any more known?
