Would this have related to 173 services terminating at Glynde at some point? Obviously if they were turning around via Montacute Rd, then they wouldn't pass this side of Lower North East Rd, but I wonder what would have used that feeder bus stop previously?
I recall 177 running as feeders outside peak hour. 173 if I recall terminated at the Felixstow Woolworths.

By the way I am puzzled that the latest Athelstone route is 176 , the previous 176 went via Clairville Road and Hambledon Road whereas the 177 was the one that went via Cresdee Avenue.
Next station is Victoria Square. Change here for all trains.

Once a route number is discontinued; it's fair game for something else; that may be slightly different or even not be related to the previous incarnation.

163 is a good example; currently City to West Beach; previously City to Aldgate. Other examples include 110, 600, 203, 206, 320, 140, 197. There may be others.

J!-J2 routes are currently serviced by St Agnes, Edinburgh,Morphettville Depots. As for J7-J8 any (non-O-Bahn) Depot can service these routes.

South Rd Stop 24 down - pretty good candidate to have the stop indented into the sidewalk as there's plenty of room. Wonder why they didn't do it?

I would suspect that the duplicated post is due to the terminal error with this forum's software.

I hope 432 and 438 don't end up as dog food cans.

Fleet lists is your friend...

As for whether any are still available for purchase; your best bet is contacting DPTI. The ones already bought had to be tendered for, unfortunately I’m not sure how one goes about doing so

Just out of interest, I was wondering how well patronized are the Route 864's servicing the stop at the RAH and how well patronized are the Route 820's to and from Stop 13 Greenhill Rd?

Not sure re the 864's but the 820 service that runs only to Stop 13 seems to get average patronage. It seems to have 10 people on an average run, alot of Uni students. Locals probably prefer it given it is much quicker than the 144 and 147 routes.

I only ask about the 864's as is it really necessary to have all those service's going to the RAH. Wouldn't it be better just to have service's that are & dep when the staff have shift changes?

I think the theory is that it's also there for people going to the Hospital for appointments, visiting people etc. As the Mt Barker Hospital has only limited services, a lot of patients from there are referred to the RAH.

I know the 540 and 541 services rarely leave the stop on North Tce empty - around 4pm some of the 541X services leave there with 15-20 people on board.

With the demise of the 540 and 541 routes in the proposed "New Network" (540 removed and 541 renumbered and through routed in place of the G40 and extending to Marion SC), it will be interesting to see if any O-Bahn routes still serve the RAH.

Fair enough. Once the new service's get up & running, I see the Route 864 will be even more important to get people to & from the hospital.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows what route was serviced along Gilles Rd, Glen Osmond. When I look at Google Earth in 2009, I see Bus stops (17A, 18, 18A, 19) along the road and stop 19 reading 'Glen Osmond Terminus' at the roundabout at the top of Gillies Rd.

Have been lurking for a long time and have just created an account. I think the route that used to service Gilles Rd, Glen Osmond, was 148. There might have a different route number at different times but around 2011-2012 it was 148.

It used to be Route 15 which later became Route 145.

145 (and 15) turned right from Gilles Rd into Portrush Rd, left Greenhill, right Stuart, left Dulwich, right Fullarton, then Dequetteville Tce and Rundle Rd to city.
The right turn onto Portrush became too dangerous, so for a while I think it was the 148 that went left Portrush, into Cross Rd, right Duthy St.
Gilles Rd is now only serviced by a school bus run (for St Ignatius College, Athelstone).

148 travelled via Unley Rd, not Duthy St.

Thanks for the response, would you of happened to know though were 145 started? I am assuming it was at the top of the road at the roundabout...
