Caught the 960 from the City to Vic Park on Saturday. Stop 26788 east bound on Wellington St is now the 960 stop and the 950 stop has been moved further down towards William St. I am not sure why this is, as seen on Saturday the 960 now blocks the left turn lane into Beaufort St and has to merge across a congested lane to go straight along Wellington St.

Because the traffic lights out of the underground aren't separate from the traffic from Perth Arena, so it can't cut across those lanes to the stop after the Horseshoe Bridge.

Cheers!

yesterday i went to city for a day and look for every 960 bus. I just realist that almost of them run with Volvo (optimus) bus Saw 2710, 2707, 2370, 2399 and other and only saw gas bus (1863). is that because they organize shift that 960 must use volvo optimus. or is just in sunday shift.

Shifts will use newer buses first, before sending out OC's.

For what its worth, I saw several Gas NH's on the 960 this morning, in addition to a veritable number of Diesel NH's on the 970.

It is my understanding the newest stuff often gets put out as much as possible early in their life while they are still under warranty - if there is no restriction on mileage to prematurely end the warranty, why run your old stuff all the time when the newest vehicles have "free" repairs whilst under warranty?

Of course, depending on what is defected and how everything gets parked up of a day / night will dictate to some extent what you see out and about weekends.

960 will also deploy O405NHs during the week
