Hi all,
Have come down to a choice of two coaches for a conversion.
1 is a 92 Mca, Cummins L10 with Allison auto. Had a frame inspection done 4 years ago, no rust runs well.
The other is a 96 Man 18.370 no frame inspection done. Minor signs of rust, recently decommissioned from service. I dont know any details about the drive train other than it being a manual. Both around the same money.
Any hints or advice would be appreciated.
Choice of coach, Man or mca
Re: Choice of coach, Man or mca
If it was me I would go with the Mca, Cummins engine Allison auto, I would think servicing and parts would have better availability.
Re: Choice of coach, Man or mca
Thanks, Ive been thinking the same. Cant evem find what engine is used in the MAN. From what I can gather the 18.370 denotes 18000kg gvm and 370hp?

Which body is the MAN?
Personally I would get the MCA but id say the MAN would have better lock to lock steering and would use less fuel. probably a bit more comfortable at speed on the freeway too

That's a North Coast Body.
Haven't personally spent time on them but I understand they are quite good

Is the MAN easily serviceable? Seems hard to find any info compared to the Cummins/Allison combo.
