Re: BT Scanias
I think it would be rare for any of these to return with BT. Maybe another operator would take them but I think impending withdrawal and manheims would be more like the result of these.

20 V Scanias have been ear-marked for disposal in coming weeks/months due to expired 'components'.

Re: BT Scanias
Scania's at S are in pretty avg. condition. Many have flat tyres and parts sitting in the cabin...
Re: BT Scanias
V342 running into Virginia yesterday. Scania V710 has disappeared from the front fence as well as the logo less Metroliner, V701, 706 have now been joined by 712 on the fence.
Re: BT Scanias
Does this include the ones parked at Eagle Farm and Sherwood, or is this an additional 20 currently at Virgina?Bus_Control wrote:20 V Scanias have been ear-marked for disposal in coming weeks/months due to expired 'components'.
Will this be before or after the last Metroliner and Lemon are gone?

Re: BT Scanias
May slightly change after Fridays deluge and inundation. The Scania disposal list has a few that are definite stayers and some may be negotiable, depends on which ones the spinning bottle ends up pointing to.

Re: BT Scanias
Metroliners and B10L's will be gone soon as you see with the withdrawal of them from HBL, and Eagle Farm having no more B10L's either, though this may all depend on what is the outcome of last Friday's shower.

Re: BT Scanias
Why don't they transfer some of the 1300 series from Garden City to SWT to eliminate the last metroliners and lemons there and send more scanias from Virginia to Garden City??
Re: BT Scanias
Also what will HBL get in place of the metroliners?? I guess some of Ts 1000 series could come up to supplement what at HBL now??

1019, 1026-1029 are going to HBL
Re: BT Scanias
SWT need diesel buses so the only likely candidates are in the 1000 series.Skyblue1 wrote:Why don't they transfer some of the 1300 series from Garden City to SWT to eliminate the last metroliners and lemons there and send more scanias from Virginia to Garden City??

Re: BT Scanias
There were movements planned for this weekend between W & G, V & G & G to T to cover the supply of MAN Diesels for the Hornibrook contract.

Re: BT Scanias
V713 withdrawn but is it parked at Virginia?? 701 & 706 still on front fence, 710 now disappeared.
Re: BT Scanias
693 seen on 306 near Virginia today. Also seen 342 running around...
Re: BT Scanias
V700 parked along front fence at Virginia with no rego plates attached.
Re: BT Scanias
V700 and the unbranded metroliner at Virginia have departed, probably to manheims or eagle farm.
Re: BT Scanias
I have noted V792 parked inside the front fence at Virginia over the past couple of weeks with what looks like a yellow line painted across the registration plate - is this a sign that the bus will soon be withdrawn?
Re: BT Scanias
I've seen 792 as well, not sure if it's paint or tape, probably denoting it's not to be used?? 710 is working again from Virginia.
Re: BT Scanias
I'm no expert, so just speculating. If they were not planning to use it, would they not cash in the rego? The yellow line sounds like a temporary measure to me.
Re: BT Scanias
After a closer inspection it's masking tape on 792, defo covered up tho. 716 on front fence today with 701, 706 and 792.
Re: BT Scanias
V700 now withdrawn and presumed at Manheims with 701, 706, 716 and 792??
Re: BT Scanias
BT Buses website now shows 776 as being withdrawn - I am sure I saw it in service yesterday - can anyone confirm that this is the correct fleet number that has been withdrawn?
