When was the first time you heard the F word on radio or TV.
For me it was in the mid 70s when Peter Newman, brother to Jeff, was the late night announcer on 6WF (now called Local ABC Perth), and at around 11.30 pm on a Friday night played the Cheese Shop Sketch from Monty Python.
There is a beeped version of this for radio, and the normal version. As it was playing, I was saying to myself will they or won’t they play the unbeeped version.
No they won’t, yes they will, no they won’t, YES THEY DID.
That was the first time I heard the F word on radio. Now it is commonplace.

Probably on TV, it would have been Graham Kennedy's infamous "crow call".
On radio, I can recall when 2JJ (now JJJ) started transmitting. I think the first track they ever played was Skyhooks' "You only like me cos I'm good in bed" (controversial at the time). Back in those days, music was still played off vinyl discs; during one early show, the announcer must have knocked the pick up arm of the record player and the needle tracked across the disc with an almighty "squawk". and the music stopped. The announcer came back on air to apologise with "Gee, I f"***d that up, didn't I?"

It would've been late 1990, on Triple J (introduced to Brisbane in November that year).
You used to have to pay money to see a freak show; now you have to pay NOT to.

"double J" started as an AM station back in 1975.

It went FM before it went national, at least according to Wiki.boronia wrote:"double J" started as an AM station back in 1975.

On radio, hit 92.9 was broadcasting 'Alarm' I heard it in the song
I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

"F 'em man, white knuckle tight!" Triple M (Melbourne) playing Fuel by Metallica back in the late 1990s. Of course these days the only Metallica songs you usually ever hear on the radio besides Fade to Black are all off the black album (Enter Sandman, Sad But True, The Unforgiven or Nothing Else Matters).

I've been watching 8out of 10 Cats Does Countdown lately. Happens 2 or 3 times on every show.
