Bustech Destos

Post by Tomas.Norton »

Hey all,
I've got my hands on the Mobitec MIE software, and wanted to mock up the destos on the local buses (Sunbus Sunshine Coast).
Just wondering if anyone knows the specification for both the front and kerb-side Mobitec used on Bustech vehicles? (Like LED's/dots across by LED's/dots down)
I just can't seem to get them to look right... :(

Thanks

The Bustech front and side desto size

Front LED is 144 long by 19 high

Side LED is a 144 long and 16 high, the same sign file is used on both.

Hate to bump an old topic (especially since it isn't exactly on the same issue).
Just curious if any one you guys also know the programming dimensions for the Hanover destos in the Bustechs, or the Mobi Dot destos in the CB20's?

Got no clue about the CB20 size, but are the Hanover ones the same size and the Mobi LEDs?

Hanovers are
144 x 19 Front
96 x 15 Side

the Surfside CB20s i believe are 98 x 13 but i don't know if the rest are the same.

The sizes I use on the Townsville fleet (Bustech) are 112x16 (front) and 84x13 (side) for the LED signs. These sizes are a bit smaller than the actual screen but make the task a little easier.

For the flip-dot signs the sizes are 98x16 (front) and 84x16 (side, and where applicable, rear). Of course you could make them ALL 98x13/84x13 and use the one file for all the destos but doing that would reduce (again) the amount of info you could display on the larger LED screens.

These sizes are in everday use in the Sunbus Townsville fleet and work just fine. :D
Cheers... Kev
