What happened earlier on how bus australia was very slow to load or fully inaceasble.
it was even talked about on railpage .
so what i would like to know is this problem fixed now or is it just temporary failure

Most likely a server problemo there. Also it's inaccessible.

This is still being investigated.There appears to have been a significant increase in server load with no increase in traffic to/from the server. This means that the increased load couldn't be attributed to more hits or visitors and certainly the stats kept on this maintain this opinion as well.
The load is also definitely related to the web server and not the database server, so it'll be PHP related. It's also what caused the server to go into meltdown on the weekend.
The photo slideshow software was being introduced about the time of the problem so we may need to disconnect that to see if that makes any difference. Will advise further on that.

at the few times i could get to the forum index page it said there was 185 users or something on while only 5 registered users online if that helps

Things are starting to point more and more to the slideshow facility.
Hence I have disbaled the reload after 15 seconds facility to see if this makes any difference.
