Why Was Topic Closed Entirely???

Post by Member1100 »

Is there any possibility that the "Eratiks Last Day Of The Blues" thread in the Lunch Room could be re-opened????

I dont really see why it is that just because 2 members are polluting the thread with childish arguments, partly brought on by Windys need to pick on people lately, should be closed all together. How about just deleting the offending posts, and talking to those people directly????

I tried bringing it up with Dropped_And_Gone in private first, seeing as he was the one who closed the thread, but [Admin note: unnecessary personal comment removed]

There is no need for the whole thread to be shut down, just because 2 members are acting childishly. Why not deal with them directly.

Thank you.

Ok.......thanks for removing what was a fair and honest comment.

For further reference, this is the discussion I had with said person, and the response that I recieved back.

The original subject in that thread had well and truly been covered and discussion had degenerated into meaningless comments by a number of users.

I concur with the decision to close the thread.

Of course you would. No surprises there.

The topic has denegrated to an argument between 2 people, while everybody else is still discussing the topic at hand.

If it were me playing up....you would delete my comments and then give me the obligatory "ban" while life goes on for everybody else.

But in this case, you have just stopped everybody involved from engaging in the topic, all because a couple of people want to shoot bullets at each other.

So not all of your posts then? It would have taken a while but could have been construed as valuable therapy for me.

Only in a small number of circumstances. This would be one of them.

It's probably best I lock the entire thread now.

If anyone has a legitimate complaint, feel free to contact me.
