Nah, that's an old route, well sort of. It used to be the 560D but now it is what you see. It only goes as far as Para Hills, stp 43.
Thoughts are with the people in Victoria at this very bad time.

It is supposed to read 560D but i think the driver forgot to wind the 5 to a 0.

There is a trial 560D that leaves TTP at 12:19 (i think), i caught it once and it was almost empty, passengers chose to get on the 565 that left 15 mins later....

A 560D terminates at Para Hills. I think they chose the letter D because it was the next letter in the alphabet. They had already used 560A, 560B and 560C.

560A terminates at Salisbury Int.
560B used to terminate at the St Agnes Depot
560C terminates at Ingle Farm, then continues as a school run.

I am rather bemused why operators still insist (or are allowed by the PTD)on using the letter D after route numbers as former Route 10D (now 105) had to be re-numbered to 10G in 1984 because people were confusing it for the Circle Line, Route 100.

One has to acknowledge that for the visually impaired the D does look like an 0 and especially from a distance.

Unfortunately the new electronic desto's do not help either with the sometimes weird configuration of letters or numbers. We often have people catching the 727F thinking it is a 722F because the numbers are set too low on the screen and the 7 end up looking like a 2. And 99% of the people making the error are............... You guessed it, visually impaired.

Here is task for you if you are a sceptic. Find a Route 680 bus bound for Flinders University. The bus has to be a 2700 and if the correct code is used the message 'Flinders University' will appear in a very thin font. It is clearly read from a few feet away but stand close as if at a bus stop and only the number is readable!! Try it
