This is my invention:-

Model: Designline EduCharter School and Charter bus

Basic Specifications

Chassis: Designline's own chassis built up with MAN componentry.

Engine: Choice of 280 hp (18.280) 310hp (18.310) and 360hp (18.360)

Transmission: ZF 6HP type full automatic with inbuilt retarder, AS Tronic automated manual optional on the 360hp model with intarder

57 McConnell seat belted fixed seats (fitted locally by McConnell) trimmed in the customer's choice of Holdsworth fabric

Denso LD8i heat and cool airconditioning with fully automatic non driver adjustable controls (with just an on/off switch in the dash switch cluster)

Swing out door (like the Ventura bubbles) with dash mounted door switch and brake interlock

Fully adjustable electronic suspension with raise/lower/kneel functions

Radio/CD/MP3/PA system

Dash layout very similar to the Ventura bubblebus design with all switches very neatly arranged in the cluster, with audio system mounted to the left of the driver in the left hand side of the dash (near the driver's knee) and PA controls on the side console, another option is to mount the audio system in the side console.

Heated/Electric mirrors with controls in the side console.

Options:

TV and DVD system
Destination display (Southport, Mobitec, Hanover), this is with the controller mounted on the left hand side of the dash, deleting one row of switches.

Comments will be most welcome.

You have obviously put a lot of thought into this and I admire your knowledge but what do you see as the problems with my electric Trailerbus mate.

Trailerbus on your phone.

I’ll stick with my original 15 year old design.

It saddens me to think in QLD it would almost be up for a body inspection.
Did you hear the scarecrow got an award? He was out standing in his field.
