The price of Coca-Cola etc. went up about 10% just in time for the Victorian container deposit scheme. Would be all well and good if the whole state had actually implemented the container deposit scheme on the 1st (cough, Visy, cough) as opposed to any time between now and August 2024.
Time to hoard cans and bottles for the next six to so months or whenever reverse vending machines start showing up within walking distance e.g. 1 kilometre, and that's pushing it (literally, one jam-packed Costco trolley at a time).
