Went to a foram this week for improving public transport on the CENTRAL COAST NSW the room was packed I'M 80 with 55 years of working in the transport industry with the sydney olympics/ rail shut downs & 10 years of doing the royal easter show a afternoon tea was provided organised by TRANSPORT FOR NSW what a joke it was mainly little old ladys wanting the bus stop closer to their house or the bus divereted to their street When I tried to make a talk about bus timetables /routes train/bus conections was howled down by the 3 young people from TRANSPORT FOR NSW who looked like they just left school & the only bus conection was they went to school by bus any wonder the transport system in NSW is stuffed they got ridd of the people with REAL TRANSPORT NOUCE & empolyed people who NO NOTHING !

To top it off they're generation Y bother? Make millennials look useful, not that's saying much.

The price of Coca-Cola etc. went up about 10% just in time for the Victorian container deposit scheme. Would be all well and good if the whole state had actually implemented the container deposit scheme on the 1st (cough, Visy, cough) as opposed to any time between now and August 2024.

Time to hoard cans and bottles for the next six to so months or whenever reverse vending machines start showing up within walking distance e.g. 1 kilometre, and that's pushing it (literally, one jam-packed Costco trolley at a time).
