NSW government reversing lock out laws.
They argue Sydney should be more like Europe except Europeans know how to have a good time without becoming subhuman.

Why should he do anything when China is among the worst offenders who's emissions make the west pale in comparison and all you worry about is him being rude -assuming that's what it was?

He probably was being a bit rude, and while it is true that he's doing nothing to really help stop climate change, Australia doesn't produce nearly as much emissions/pollution as China does.
I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?
I think on a per-capita basis we're quite bad... But then this is what happens when everyone wants their own house, on its own block of land (sprawl) meaning everyone needs umptillion cars per household to travel umptillion kilometres to work. If so many Australians are so concerned about the end of the world, then why is sprawl still continuing, and seemingly unabated?Bus Suggestions wrote:Australia doesn't produce nearly as much emissions/pollution as China does.
Likewise with all the protest action. If the majority of Australians are so concerned about the environment - then how/why on earth are the Liberals in power? Either a lot of people put in donkey votes on election day (IMO if you're going to do that, you don't have the right to whinge about ANYTHING) or the greenie mob are grossly exaggerating the state of opinion here in Australia.

Sounds like a stone age ticket system. At with Adelaide's demented system, you can validate anywhere, regardless of whether the 'bus' is moving or not.
It just relies on the driver entering the trip into the BCU (bus control unit?), regardless of where they are.

Not surprised it's a BMW driver, the entitlement is high with this one. I'm sure this is the same type of driver whose use of the indicators are "optional" but get's upset when the car in front of them doesn't use theirs.

That is not good enough in Sydney as the location of the stop must be entered but I believe that can be done in Sydney so it is not stone age in that respect. It is just that it takes longer.TA3001 wrote:Sounds like a stone age ticket system. At with Adelaide's demented system, you can validate anywhere, regardless of whether the 'bus' is moving or not.

Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?
Having used the drivers consoles in both Adelaide and Sydney, both come with their advantages and disadvantages. Sydney's is rather regimented; you enter in your shift number and select from the available shifts. Shifts may have assorted letters attached to them which cannot be manually entered. Once signed onto a shift, it then presents a list of trips on that shift and you select from there. Adelaide, you enter the shift number (any letters are ignored) and then have to manually enter in the route number, select the variant (100, 100P, 100B etc) and finally find your particular trip. In Adelaide, validators are always available for validating, but remember that Adelaide is a touch on only system. In Sydney the validators are only available when the bus is stationary and the bus at a bus stop. This is to reduce the potential of a user touching off early and obtaining a cheaper fare. The driver can override this though by pressing a key on the console and waking up the system. Of the two, my favourite console to operate would be Sydney's, the availability of real buttons and general user friendliness of the software makes operations so much faster than Adelaide's. As a passenger the bouquet would go to Adelaide; validators being always available and not requiring to touch off due to the flat time based fare structure lends themselves to faster unloading.

When I do my weekly shopping, I always forget to get one item, always the one. This time it's Vegemite I keep forgetting to restock and I'm relying on the emergency tube of it that's suppose to be kept when I go out on holidays.
And when I do go on Holidays guess what I'm not going to have any of because I'll probably forget to restock that too.

I put a little blank white card in my wallet and when there's something find I need I write it in ready for my next visit to the supermarket.ScaniaGrenda wrote:When I do my weekly shopping, I always forget to get one item, always the one. I think it's traditionally known as a shopping list. Just remember to take one with you every time you go to the supermarket.
Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?
My father was like that, never made a shopping list, he had Mum with him, and with her nagging he never forgot anything.
But a couple of years ago my parents discovered Amazon Alexa, and they tell Alexa what they want "Alexa, add Foster's Lager to shopping list" and it goes onto Dad's phone, he goes around the supermarket with the phone, no paper.

To add to my wall from the last page: I just noticed that CBA Mitcham has also closed down and taken its 24/7 walk-in ATMs with it. At least I was able to get money out at the nearby ANZ, until both that and Westpac pull out of Mitcham too (NAB is long gone). At this rate the only place you will be able to get money out after 5PM is at the pokies with a cap of $200 and another stupid $2.50 surcharge (yet another rule that our Supreme Leaders forced on the public down Mei-hico way, no bank ATMs are allowed in gaming venues, including the entirety of Crown Melbourne even near the food court which is nowhere near the casino, yet non-bank ATMs are absolutely fine).

Peter Dutton - Dont be surprised if you hate him already.
I absolutely HATE peter Dutton because of his behaviour, yesterday, he threatened to cut welfare from climate protesters. Yet I know that not all climate protesters will have welfare. So it’s gonna be tricky to cut welfare of the protesters.
I reckon he might think that I have welfare but I don’t even have welfare so he can’t take my money off me!
At least I won’t be affected because I will soon be employed and I won’t even have welfare, I’m just gonna be rich in no time because I can use the return and earn service. Although I do feel sorry for those who may be affected.
