After speaking to the owner, i have corrected him on a few issue he made with his ad.
It still has a Merc 0305G engine 280hp with the 0305G ZF transmission.
The owner corrected the ad and the bus sold within a minutes.

They didn't come with a ZF, did it have one retrofitted?

You're thinking of the O405s numbered 1106-1114, everything before were delivered with a 3sp W3-series transmission.

This is the SA section, and the bus in the link is an Adelaide O305G. Adelaide O305/Gs came with a Mercedes-Benz transmission, not a ZF.

Sorry , thank you for the corrections in regards to the Transmissions.
I know the Adelaide 0305G had a different trans from the rigids for the O-Bahn.

5 O'bahn equipped (now withdrawn) MAN SL202s had ZF transmissions. The others had 3 speed Voith transmissions which caused them to max out at about 91kph.

IIRC, all the O'bahn equipped Mercedes-Benz 0305(G)s had transmissions designed by the manufacturer (originally numbered from 1501-1541, 1545-1595, 1s removed when Serco entered the scene).

Ex (1)588 had an Allison retrofitted(?) at some point later in it's operational life.

Mercedes O305G's for the O-Bahn had Mercedes W4A Gearboxes. Rigid's had W3D's

Yes 1588 has an Allison and yes it was fitted after the Merc Box failed. It still retains that box now, as Horizons West's No. 1.
If it's not a ZF, take it back!

Just like I get to drive TA1381 every day and usually end up with 1561 as a spare.
