I assume that the 29 new "regular" buses and 16 new articulated buses for next will be Volvo V8BLE and V8BLEA vehicles - can anyone confirm?

I also note that the news story detailed there were 1223 buses currently in service. From the BT Buses site, there are 1234 listed (although 2330 is listed twice).

There is a difference of ten buses which tends to suggest there have been some recent withdrawals - can anyone confirm?

I wouldn't think so as you would have to include the 15 buses at South West Transit as well.

I think that it is likely to be a number of withdrawals - for example, I haven't seen 680 (which I saw on a tow truck at Mater Hill a few weeks back), 682, 684, 694, 697 and 706 in service for a few weeks now.

There are two new artics in full BT livery (no fleet numbers though) at Volgren today.

One of the buses was registered under the new National Heavy Vehicle Regulator scheme with plates XQ56AI.

Spotted one of the new Volvo Optimus Artics on a outbound 180 service a few nights ago. Quite surprised to see it since I thought they were being used exclusively on 111 and 66 services.

I've seen them on 137, 139 and 162 services in recent times.

There have been more B12 buses on the 66 lately then the new artics.

Artic S1645 is now in service - 2199 has returned to Virginia and 820 transferred to Garden City (as per the usual transfers when a new artic has been delivered).

However, 821 should have been next on the list to go from V to G but 820 went instead - does anyone know if 821 has been withdrawn or did Virginia want to keep it?

I think there are 15 (804-818) at the moment, though not sure where 821 has gone (as it didn't get transferred to Garden City but 819 and 820 were).

Also 744 has disappeared from V so I assume that it has been withdrawn from service.

Artic S1650 (XQ15CD) in service today - last of the current order of artics, I believe.

New rigids starting with V2805 should be on the road in the near future...

I had taken S1650 on Monday (22 Oct) and it was awsome. However, I noticed that the transmission was not so smooth. I guessed that was because the bus was brand new so its powertrain system needs more run-in.

I can see Volvo artics at Garden city interchange every night. They just put them into their collective management. I have also seen a MAN artic runs as 120 and even in 125.

S1921-S1926 have been at Carina and V2206-V2210 have been at Sherwood for the past week but none have had their depot identifier changed - from this, I assume they are short-term loans - can anyone confirm?

An unusual number of Volvo B12BLE s on Driver Training around Forest Lake midday Tuesday. Mainly seen on the parts of the 100 route. I saw 4, 2 with Carina fleet letters and also 1 with Willowong fleet letter. I was wondering if they were going to use B12BLE s locally now that they have many Volvo B8RLEA artics in service from Sherwood.

The Sherwood buses are still at Carina this week, but the Virginia buses have gone back.

Also noted today that E2055 and E2056 are no longer in their QUT wrap - they have AOA advertising now (but I can't recall for what).

The B12’s are at the Training school for license training, the Training school is based nearby at Willawong depot.

The Sherwood buses are temporarily covering the B12’s at the training school.
