For those of you who utilise Transwa services, effective as of September 30th:
https://www.transwa.wa.gov.au/Home/Plan ... -esperance

The lowdown:
1. The Esp-Kal bus used to leave Esperance at 2pm on a Sunday, with the return service leaving Kalgoorlie at 2.30pm on Monday
2. Then the Sunday bus time was changed to 8am, with the return service still the same time on Monday
3. It was not that long ago (this year) that the Sunday morning bus returned on Sunday evening, meaning if you went up on Friday & didn't come home on Sunday, you'd have to wait until Wednesday for the next service
4. And now there's no more services on Sunday: up & back on Mon, Wed & Fri
former Perth public transport fanatic 1991-2005 and still fanboying to this day in Esperance

Showing that there's no time changes through, only the stop changes in the new PDFs.

Henley Brook is, I believe, the first and only station to have the bus route/information panel map uploaded to the website: Henley Brook Bus Station Map

However based on these propose there are some route that i would change a bit or increase frequency
- 449 (I think this route should extend to Bennett Springs) to make bennett springs/north beechbooro residence had connection service to Malaga/Ballajura

TBH i am bit dissapointed with the Proposed change i think they should keep 365 because now there is no Connection between Kingsway and Mirrabooka

But this route will extended to Whitfords, Will this route affected by Contract changes and move to SWan. and also 375 the route is run west of Mirrabooka Ave (Transdev Side/SWan Side after Jan) but terminated at Alexander Heights (Path Area)

Route 376 looks likely will still be operated by Path. Not all services will operating between Landsdale and Whitfords.

Route 375 looks likely will operated by Swan as majority runs the portion of the old 372 route.

Is anyone know where's the route 449 in Malaga ends? Looks likely the route will eventually terminates at Malaga (West Bennett Springs) Station once the Morley-Ellenbrook Line is being finished. Or consider to make that terminate at East Ballajura where the route 362 terminates at this stage. I reckon Path will operate with this route as it serves in Malaga area and runs along Beach Road as the corridor, also it reinstate the portion of old 379 between Mirrabooka Avenue and Alexander Drive.

Just remembered when the route 469 truncated only serving Wangara back to 2011, and replaced with the new portion of route 355 during this change.

The route withdrawal of the route number 352 will looks likely to reserving for the future bus route serving along Henley Brook Bus Station.

There's previous discussion which can be found in here.

Based on a bit of discussion with a certain someone ;) I would say the new routes 374, 375 and 448 will be operated by Transdev (or Swan come January), but the 449 has me stumped. Probably Path seeing as it terminates near Malaga Depot?

I spot re-used numbers; 374 was basically the 386 running down Walcott/Fitzgerald Sts rather than Charles St, 449 being Warwick Stn - Warwick Grove via Eglinton Cr (387 route to Erindale Rd).

The new 374 seems as if it would be run by Transdev (Swan Joondalup next year), 375 by Path, 448 by Transdev/Swan Joondalup & 449 by Path, as anything east of Wanneroo Rd seems to be a Path operation from Warwick.
I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

In the short term it’ll probably terminate somewhere along Beach road/Marshall road my guess is just before the Guadelupe drive roundabout then when the Ellenbrook spur line opens it’ll be extended to the new train station on Beechboro road North

Asked reps at Warwick Station today before heading off, the 449 is confirmed to terminate at Guadalupe Dr. Whether it gets extended to Malaga station when the Ellenbrook Line opens remains to be seen.

Would make sense to extend it to Malaga station when it eventually does open I mean it is the logical conclusion for the new 449 the Guadalupe drive terminus would be short term I doubt PTA will want to keep turning buses around at a roundabout when they can provide better service levels on Beechboro road North or part thereof at least

Just in time for the festive season, there's changes to bus services to/from Cannington Station following the completion of redevelopment works on Cecil Avenue,Cannington which will take effect from 8th December. Marks the end of the temporary deviation through Wharf Street after 7 months as they will begin to serve Cecil Av again.

Due to nowhere to terminate and effectively turn around on Marshall rd , the 362 Gaudaloupe terminus will be used to terminate the 449 . With it eventually extending to the proposed Malaga train station when built.
This gives 362 Guadalupe residents a more direct link to malaga and Warwick other than the 344 .

Mr OC Benz wrote: As part of conditional development approval, the shopping centre is required to pay Transperth to operate additional services during opening hours throughout the week, on route 423 or 425 - can't remember which one, but intended to bring the daytime frequency to every 15 minutes on one of those routes. They are also constructing bus priority lanes along Karrinyup Rd ready in time for the shopping centre expansion to open. A similar condition is in place at Westfield Innaloo for them to fund bus route enhancements in the area.
It appears as though the funding arrangement has been altered:
Stirling Times Article wrote: Perth shopping centre halves transport funding commitment
THE company behind the $800 million Karrinyup Shopping Centre redevelopment has the green light for changes that see its public transport funding commitments halved, despite opposition from a portfolio comprising the City of Stirling, Department of Transport, Main Roads and Public Transport Authority (PTA).

A previous Metro North-West Development Assessment Panel decision required AMP Capital to fund costs for an additional 105,500km of bus services and $120,000 per year for two extra buses for at least five years from the opening of the revamped centre.

But in October, the panel approved an amended transport plan to fund 32,000 to 38,000km and one extra bus per year.

The new plan includes extended footpath construction, street tree planting contribution, reducing the proposed bus lane on Karrinyup Road east of Huntriss Road by 460m and funding for increased bus service frequencies for seven years instead of five years.

However, the Department of Transport does not support the seven-year funding contribution saying that despite the two-year increase, it represented less than half of the cost of the planned services, and the PTA was “not resourced to increase bus services to Karrinyup from its own budget”.

A spokeswoman for AMP Capital said the approved plan would fund additional bus services that would “more than adequately” cater to increased demand for public transport created by the development.

“AMP Capital will contribute over $15 million as part of the Karrinyup Shopping Centre development to improve transport links into and around the centre,” she said.

“We believe this is a positive outcome for both the centre and our wider community.”

AMP Capital wants a combination of the 423 and 425 routes running ever 10 minutes during weekday AM and PM peak times and the 425 to run every 15 minutes on weekends from 10am to 6pm.

But the Department of Transport prefers increases to route 425 only to provide “a single, legible, high frequency and direct alignment” that would include 15-minute frequencies on weekday off-peak times, and said the current arrangement would not increase public transport usage.

The department took issue with the applicant including the costs of transporting construction workers to the site during the redevelopment within its overall contribution because it said this was the contractor’s responsibility and decision, and was of “negligible benefit” to the wider community.

The applicant believed extending the bus lane was not the worth the cost to improve eight bus journeys on a Saturday and acknowledged it would result in longer trip times on Saturday midday peak times but would benefit weekday PM peak services.

It asserted the previously approved bus services were “very expensive” and not sustainable for the landowner or authority after the five-year funding period ended, and the amended plan would prioritise pedestrian access and staff movements, resulting in reduced peak hour traffic.

In a report presented to the panel, the City said the transport plan changes were inconsistent with the original development approval, which would have seen the centre contribute to transport funding infinitely and aimed to increase public transport usage “to justify the expansion of the centre”.

“Suitable justification has not been provided by the applicant to substantiate the modifications will not adversely impact the functionality of the centre from a transport perspective,” it said.

But the panel believed the updated plan would “facilitate improved public transport and pedestrian amenity and walkability”.

The first stage of the centre redevelopment opened on November 21, including major stores H&M and Mecca, and a 700-bay carpark, with overall completion expected in late 2021.
