Actually in service or in testing? A couple weeks ago I saw set 117 and 118 testing up and down the Joondalup line, but I didn't think they were going into service until the Forrestfield link is finished?

Forrestfield link is due for completion in December 2020. 117-126 will all be in service, testing pending on the opening date of the new line. There's no way they will stay in nowergup for 2 years when they could be In traffic.

Isn't the current demand for rolling stock satisfied though? They're not operating any additional services to use these extra railcars so don't we have a surplus now? They could easily sit in storage until they're needed

I thought they were entering service to assist in the passenger demands for Optus Stadium, that is why they are entering service now.

That probably be better off being written as 2699, 2900-2902 as the 2700's are Path and the 2800's are Swan

If you want to nitpick, sure. But I'm sure you and pretty much anyone else reading this would know what I meant.

I saw a six-car B-Series when i was in Cannington at around the times between 1:00PM to 1:30PM but can anyone tell me if it was either operated as a test train or otherwise?

All lines will have B Sets on them for Stadium work this evening, mixed of course amongst the trusty A Sets.

You will find on all football events bsets are now working all lines from now on because 3x 4cars on thornlie, 3 or 4x 4xcars on Midland and fremantle service are replaced with 2 or 3cars as the other 4cars are on stadium services

If it's long term off traffic for major body repairs, it could be in 1D, possibly behind a B Set that's in for refurb.

Set 47 won't be going to scrappers. It's waiting on parts. The pta and edi are in talks as to who should be footing the bill.

There's certainly no disagreement as to who is footing the bill... both parties have been waiting on an independent engineer to report on what repairs are necessary.

47 was in the shed on eight road last night. She happily gets around under her own steam.

The B series rotating in and out of Claisebrook are undergoing internal refurbs... new carpets, seat covers etc.

KT.

Spotted an ex Bolton / Porter bodied Ex Transperth MB O.305 today in Ballan Road, Wyndham Vale, Victoria. I was on the bus heading to Werribee at the time. Going back there next weekend and see if I can get some info and ask the owners if I may take some snaps as its in their driveway. It has been converted but looks in great condition.

The 3:28 and 3:41 210 arvo trip to Thronlie seems to be operated by B7RLE's rather than the usual OC's.
