it has gone back, I did see it numerous times operating 930 when it was in southern river, I also did see it yesterday at perth bus port

Anyone in the know able to share the recent Swan movements ? Looks like there has been some transfers involving Southern River, Shenton Park, Karrinyup and Beenyup over the last week.
And I'm sure I saw 2452 running a 955F about 2pm today near Bassendean Stn, as well as 2455 near Roe Hwy on a 324 which I thought had been transferred to Karrinyup a few weeks back.
also just saw 1548 running a 950T so that's another transfer to Shenton Park from Beenyup.
Sylar, I know SR still has up to 2017. SR also has 1304, which was sighted in the Canning Vale graveyard on Sunday and in service heading for Byford Monday.

not also movements also i they change some shift also. saw quite number of shift of 100 run by SR bus. usually they run by Beckenham and canning vale and SR only run in the morning and afternoon. but saw in the noon shift 3 consecutive shift from cannington run by SR Bus.
2647 sighted being driven down Leach Hwy then down the Kwinana Southbound yesterday @ 9am by a mechanic. This is more than likely moving down to Mandurah from Freo.
2648 and 2649 sighted operating Freo runs yesterday/last night, so they're still there.

I'm keeping an eye out for them, I can only assume 2021 went back to Karrinyup along with 2020 and 2022. I did see 1550 on St Georges Tce this arvo on what looked like a 25 run so that is another Beenyup to Shenton Park.

2452,2454&2455 are back in midvale
2452 is still at Karrinyup, i've seen it running a 403 both this morning and afternoon.
3000 has emerged from the depot for three consecutive days now.
722 was seen yesterday evening departing Fremantle at 7pm on a 160 to East Perth. I don't think its all that often Renaults are seen out at such an hour these days.
On Friday morning I saw one of the early 190x Freo buses was refurbished. Confirmation has now come in from another member that it was 1909 and it is indeed refurbished.
By my count, I believe this would be the first 19xx at Freo to get the full refurbishment?
1210 seemingly escaped Fremantle CATs again this afternoon; and was spotted arriving in Fremantle on a 511 at 1621hrs. As far as I've seen, this run (or shift) typically gets an articulated bus. It left not long after on a 501 to Bull Creek - already with a seated load
For those wondering, yes, its worth riding. Lovely smooth gearbox, and makes the right noises.
Gee the traffic light cycles around the city are bad. I mean they're generally bad across Australia and across Perth as a whole, but I rode the Blue CAT today and the waits at some intersections were absolutely mind-numbing.
I like the on board stop displays and announcements and the countdown timers at the stops. But then you see the poor bus sitting stuck at some set of lights in the distance while the countdown keeps resetting! Perth badly needs some traffic light priority for buses but I can see it's all about cars. Move people, not cars!
They also need low floor buses (I.e. not just low entry) on these busier services so standees can spread towards the back a bit more and not clog up the low floor area. People don't like climbing stairs. Scania N series is a low floor chassis.
Personally from riding buses and driving my car occasionally in the thick of the peak time, I'd be more inclined to say the lights are timed to favour complete and utter chaos in the CBD. You'll notice the timings and coordinations with other lights are so poor that barely any traffic (buses or cars) move with each green cycle.
The lights so badly timed with other light sets that any roads that could theoretically be cleared in time for the next light cycle of traffic are not cleared of traffic, and nothing moves. A particularly good example is William St. You can have buses queued right up William from EQBS and nothing moves because the "bus lane" down William to the lights with The Esplanade are already full of buses that for whatever reason haven't gotten a long enough green light.
Personally, I think Perth might've worked better with one-way streets...
It did work better. With everything two-wayed you get either:
1. Green light only: left lane is held up by left turners giving way to peds, right lane is held up by right turners giving way to oncoming traffic (e.g. William St int. with St Georges Tce)
2. Green light always with green arrow: at most half of the traffic on that street is moving at one time, compared with 100% when it was one-way (Beaufort St int. with Newcastle St, Aberdeen St, Roe St, Wellington St; William St int. with Roe St, Wellington St, The Esplanade)
3. No right turn: yet two-way streets are supposed to "decrease unnecessary circling trips".
With single lane traffic in many places, it's common to see long queues and impatient drivers crossing the solid line to turn when 1 or 2 cars are blocking them.
Travelling north up William St, there is a lot of red time at the Hay St and Murray St intersections where the southbound gets a green arrow phase but hardly anyone turns right. On Friday evenings, traffic entering city via Horseshoe Bridge usually piles back to Francis St.
Barring City of Perth face (and money of course), reverting to one-way is not impossible, but harder due to the fact that Riverside Dr has been chopped into two bits by Elizabeth Quay. Still, you could make William and Beaufort/Barrack one-way down to The Esplanade (which is kept two-way due to EQ), and keep only the left-turning southbound lane on Beaufort St Bridge. Then put the Red Cat back onto King St and bus stops back onto William St Northbridge and Barrack St.
Blue Cat route along Barrack St is the worst; I am able to beat it by foot.
Well in some respects, yes it was to stop circling trips and make navigating easier, but also to improve the movement of people. We've seen reduced number of lanes and wider footpaths - it has never been any better being able to walk through the city and not worry about crowded footpaths or people zooming past you. The waking environment is certainly a lot more attractive than it was 10 years ago (but still room to improve). Cycling provision still pretty poor though.
While I'd say there's capacity on the reduced road network to handle the traffic, it just isn't being utilised efficiency. As mentioned, traffic light cycles are shocking (not just inner city however!) and really impact on the efficiency of the road network and reliability of the bus services. If they could get that right, then two-way wouldn't be so bad. Especially given late at night it can be equally as bad!
Once William St between Hay and Murray is converted to bus only, the Blue CAT is supposed to move from Barrack St - intended to improve legibility and usage with its operation (to be similar to Yellow and Green CATs) and would also improve reliability. The project talks seemed to of stalled however.
