No, it's because when they were services, the manhole lid to access it wasn't replaced.

Or occasionally, buses do brush up against trees and bushes - an unavoidable occurrence in many situations. This can knock the covers off. I suppose its then up to the driver to report the defect at some point.

2392 is a Morley bus and 2394 is a Bayswater bus. 1918 still hasn't been refurbished yet and still in service.

And don't forget the RCCTS midi's (1-3). Also, all WP buses (1363-1365, and 2348/9) have moved back to Welshpool after their stint at Morley.

i forgot to include that i should say special livery. i want to know which bus they send next from WP to Morley to do training. and not even surprise if they send all 3 midi 1591-1592, 1919 to morley for driver training or even move there to make all path oc midi based at morley depot like with artic gas. sorry if my comment in the last doesnt make sense this just my speculation.

I don't know if already mentioned, but 1104 has been withdrawn from service a few weeks ago and deregistered yesterday. That leaves 1098, 1101-1103 with CNG high floors still registered and possibly in service (1098 was seen by another enthusiast doing the 960 today), 1053, 1109-1111 & 1113-1114 with the diesel O405s down in Busselton and less than half of the Renault artic fleet still left in service. Sad to see these buses disappear at a rapid rate :(

1098, 1101 and 1102 have been out and about "in service" at times during the week. Rode in 1102 myself today on a 60 to Morley, and also saw 1101 being commandeered out of Morley earlier in the afternoon.

I say "In Service" as these buses aren't in regular service anymore. Given the observations noted, especially on the new 960, its quite obvious these buses are simply filling in where required.

To put it bluntly, remaining service life of CNG O405's can probably be counted on one, maybe two hands. If you want to catch one (or photograph, video etc), hang about Morley or EQBS during peak. Whatever life is left in these vehicles is hampered by the life of the gas tanks, which are very expensive to replace, being CNG. Unlike LPG in that they cannot be "re-certified" for a low cost. Once the tanks expire, that is the end of the story, for these high-floor buses, anyway.

I saw 3001 running the 998 Circle this morning around 6.30am, very rare to see one of the CNG artics on the Circle Route.

1657 still has the Murdoch University SkyFii even though it has Curtin University AOA all over the bus.

I can only assume Murdoch didn't ask for the WiFi unit back, so it's still sitting running in that bus.

A little surprise when you happen to get that bus. But unless you have that WiFi SSID in your phone, you won't know it because no where on the bus does it mention it has free wifi.

So that's where all my fees go... And towards Vice-Chancellors who... Oh, never-mind. Search "Murdoch" and "vice-chancellor" on Google and you should see

I do wonder whether the connection is any faster than what I get on campus.

1303 has been transferred to Southern River, a few of our fellow enthusiasts have seen it in service with Southern River.
