Another boost to the 950 from 25 June. This time in the form capacity with additional articulated buses operating, particularly between Morley and QEII during the AM peak period.
Good to see and makes much more sense in the peak periods to build up capacity within existing services rather than add additional services.

It's worth noting that as opposed to adding additional peak trips, there is now a significantly increased presence of articulated buses on the 950 now to handle demand, primarily a direct result of two of the depots that operate this service having received new artics. Shenton Park now has three and Bayswater has five dedicated to the service. In addition, another dozen or so at Malaga are also available to serve the route in addition to their requirements to meet high demand on other routes.

Artics at each depot:
Cambridge: 3100-3102
Malaga, 3001, 3002, 3035, 3038, 3041, 3044, 3047, 3050, 3053, 3056, 3059, 3062, 3065
Bayswater: 3068, 3071, 3096-3098
This means that a total of 22 artics are avaliable to run 950's, however this obviously doesn't mean that all 21 are assigned to them, as both Malaga and Bayswater have requirements for artics on other running.
Just for the record, 3001 and 3002 both quite often appear on the 950's amongst the sea of Swedes.

Best count the Karrinyup B12's as well - they've been sighted on full 950 trips now.
Cheers!

Interesting observation, Off the rails. Glad you've noted that!
In that case, by adding Trigg's allocation of 3003, 3004, 3009, 3013 and 3014, that gives 27 possible artics for 950's.

About time, there have be some occasions where I have cringed witnessing jammed packed OC500LE Midi's on the 950 entering EQ Bus Station.

Can anyone believe that it's been 5 years since the introduction of route 950 on this day and remains the frequent and busiest ever?

The 950 appears to be growing patronage even further, bucking the trend with other bus routes, with additional articulated buses to be deployed on 950 trips on weekdays throughout the day from 3 February 2019. Certainly have noticed their presence is much more visible on the route in recent months.
