Depends on the selector, but if its the type on the side of the column, theres micro switches in the back of the control to sense which gear its in. I think theres a neatural switch from memory

I didn't think those transmissions have a "park" position like cars do. Only neutral. I haven't used a hyrda-cyclic though

Your correct, i thought he ment park as in nutral, but i guess i shoulda clarified!

The only indication would be from the position of the change lever, and the driver can usually tell by the engine/transmission noises.

The electro-pneumatic ones that have the selector on the left hand side of the steering column, had a red light, next to the gear lever, that would light up when in neutral. Not sure that's the same for a tiger though.
