Scania K92 Motorhome conversion

Postby mattman1261 » Fri Nov 27, 2015 6:42 am

Just bought a 1987 Scania K92 bus to convert to a motorhome. Drove it from Port Kembla to Goulburn to it's new home where I've started stripping the seats and all unnecessary bits out of her. It drove incredibly well. The engine is healthy and the push-button automatic 4 speed operated perfectly and the ride & steering was sensational! I'm really looking forward to getting her back on the road. I'm looking for a service manual for this if anybody can help? and/or any tips with this awesome machine...Pictures to follow

Congratulations on the bus purchase, it's a BIG job doing a bus to motorhome conversion.
I started mine around 6 or so years ago, just part time on and off and I'm currently around 75% complete.
My advice is to take it one step at a time and don't think of it as one big job but as many small jobs that you do one at a time.
Good luck with it and Pics would be great.

If you can post its chassis number or body number here (or past operator or rego details) , someone may be able to give you its full history

I dare say it would be from Warrigal Charters, possibly previously at Busways

Yep... The job is a biggie. I'm taking care of the mechanical side of things first (whenever I get 5 or more minutes to spare) Not that I believe that there are too many issues to address. Mostly clean up and sort out the typical bus wiring nightmares
Couldn't be any worse than my old SWB 64 Bedford School bus... Long gone now
Photos still to come... been super busy
As pointed out yes it was ex warrigal and busways registered 1000MO.
If there is any more info on this bus out there, it would be greatly appreciated

recently bought one myself at auction, 1986 Newnham 9L Diesel auto. will be converting to motorhome. In good condition I think hey for what I paid I could probably get more from scraping the stainless in it
