Hi Guys N Gals..
I'm contemplating the purchase of a Hino Bus, CM277, with a mid mount EK200 Engine and 6 speed Manual.
My query is about the Engine.
As a motor Mechanic, I do understand that adhering to relevant service intervals, and
not abusing the engine plays a big role in longevity.
I'm wanting a general overview of the Hino Engine. My limited knowledge on Hino is, that they are a reliable product.
Are they (EK200) known for their reliability or not, Fuel economy, or not....Ease of buying new serviceable parts...etc..
Anything that will help me to see a clear picture of what I am getting into...with the Engine, Clutch, Gearbox.
I havent looked at the Bus as yet.
Thanks for any bits of Info..
AB.

Hino EK200
Hello....
Does anyone have anything Positive or Negative to share with me about the Mid Mount Hino EK200.
Are most parts still readily available for this 6 cylinder Diesel...?
Do they have any inherant flaws or bad habits I would need to know about.....?
Thanks
