Leyland tiger pup differential

I have a Leyland tiger pup psuc1/13 with a 6.54 litre engine,pneumcyclic 4 fwd 1 rev.gearbox and I would like more top speed,it will only do approx 58kph going downhill with a tailwind! Would it be of any advantage to change diff ratio? I think this one is 6.166 to 1(if I am reading the right numbers)if anyone is kind enough to offer advice please try and keep it simple.rgds smithy
