1969 Bedford bus help with identification
HI, new to the forum some interesting topics
I have purchased a 1969 bedford with a freighter body (converted to motorhome)
the freighter bagde on the front says freighter custom, whilst polishing i can just make out some old signwriting
Andersons ( or dersons )
SG Hitchcock
Shoreham ( assume this in Victoria )
if anyone can help with the history of the vechile that would be great.

Just had a lookysee at the Fleet Lists, and not many operators are showing up with what you have mentioned about the signwriting.
Best bet would be to provide a chassis or body number-I don't know where they are located on these particular buses but I'm sure another ATDB member will know

First post a picture of the bus so we can work on what company it comes from. And second there are or were three Anderson bus companies at Albury NSW,Cobram Vic and Goonellabah near Lismore NSW.

Re: 1969 Bedford bus help with identification
The bus was new to Hitchcock of Shoreham 1/69 and registered KEN 141. It's original livery was aluminium (unusual), with white roof and a black band. I can't find a photo of it, but will keep looking.

Thanks very much, finding out some of the history is intersting and adds to the "story" the prevoius owner didnt have any info.
