Nothing as yet. O-Bahn Artic 1183 is an extra at Morphettville.
Morphettville is due for at least 2 Bustechs in the next 10 days as 855 and 856 are due to be retired.

SL bus 2819 appears to have had an external makeover. Not a dent, scratch or scrape on it anywhere apart from the licence plate.

1759 was on a Morphettville shift yesterday. Is it possible that it's been sent there to account for the withdrawal of 851?

Saw 1039 go past minutes ago on a 200 to Marion. This will probably mean the end of 857.

It almost seems like they're being delivered weekly now, instead of 4 at once.

1039: You bet me to it, TA3001
I was also on 1038 this morning on a G10 still smells strong

Probably won’t be long before 1040 enters service.

Advert coverage of buses - are we the only state with total coverage?

Strewth. They want people to start using buses. I'm on 1251/147 and every window bar 3 of the 16 is covered with ads. Are things that desperate? Surely they could do the trains as well.

Doesn't it occur to them that part of bus travel's appeal used to be about going on an outing, to be able to look around. At least with some buses they've left one side partially ad free. I guess it's our lot.

Some of the older buses have top quarter tinting and that by contrast is very good for countering afternoon sun blast.

That's the way the whole thing started, silly but it's true ...

You would think though if that was the case 1755 would of been transferred as 1750 to 1754 are already based at Morphettville depot

Not necessarily. 851 was at this depot in 2018, whilst 852 was at Newton for most of last year with 853 and 854, with 855 being at Morphettville.

The only reason I mentioned it is because of the biscuit, and it supposedly being Mile End based (according to the fleet lists).

862 is also at Morph, so I suspect it's down to whatever is most convenient for the company.

Another Scania CB80 O-Bahn Artic has arrived at Scania.
Will probably become 1184. 2 more to come plus 2 more Artics(non-O-Bahn).

I think you mean Edinburgh depot as Elizabeth (renamed Edinburgh North years ago) is operated by Southlink.

Anyhow, a new Bustech body (no paint or anything) was seen heading south today on the back of a truck presumably heading to Scania.

Most likely 1042 as there is a new Scania Bustech at both Scania Wingfield and Mile End Depot.

Given the upcoming contract renewals I wonder if we can read anything into the fact that Torrens are getting all the new buses. Can't remember the last time the Govt gave SL one.

Torrens Transit are getting the new Bustech's to replace the ageing MAN SL 202's-this will be going on for the next 18 months or so.
!st phase of Tenders submissions close on the 15th of this month. I guess the results won't be known for a couple of months.
As for tenders for new buses no dates have been announced for submissions for these. So I guess Scania Bustechs will keep being delivered for sometime.
At least it is providing jobs for South Australians.

Got off my G40 at stop 18 Goody Rd this morning when I saw 1754 go past running special before turning left onto Springbank Rd as many Mile End buses tend to do of a morning so I've figured either it's been transferred there or the shift it was going off to do is now a Morphettville shift. Can someone please clarify

1754 is still a Morphettville Depot bus. If it was turning left into Springbank Road(depending on the time you saw it) it was either heading to Kent Road(off Springbank Road) to do a 200 to the City or else the 200C Clapham terminus.

Or to stop 12 Belair Rd for a 190, or Blackwood for anything...

867 was on a Morphettville shift tonight, and it seems like 866 has been transferred there too.

I have no idea how Southlink will meet allocation requirements atter the NLs disappear, if all new buses get delivered to Mile End indefinitely.

Are there any plans to expand the depot to accommodate for the increased numbers?

It does look like your observations are correct as both 866 and 867 are operating Morphettville runs.
Mile End is only receiving new buses to replace retiring MAN SL 202's.Morphettville Depot will eventually receive theres.
As regards NL series MAN the first of these are not due for retirement until 2022 ,by which time all the MAN SL202's will have all been replaced.
As regards Mile End Depot-it is near capacity and they will not be increasing its current allocation of buses.
