1035 did the last after midnight G10 to Blair Athol this morning also.

Bustech seem to be pumping these new buses out quite quick, are they all locally built here or some just fitted out here.

I believe they are all built here by Precision Buses. As at least 43 are now on the road and with 4/5 a month needed over next 18 months to replace MAN SL 202 buses as they reach retirement age,it must stand Bustech/Precision Buses a good chance of winning some of the tender for the 400 new buses needed over the next 10 years.

All J1X services are being operated by the Scania Bustechs from Mile End Depot.

Speaking of the aforementioned deliveries, I am still wondering when Newton is going to receive some.

It is good in a way that they haven't got anything newer than 1939, but I am interested to know when this will no longer be the case.

I have heard a rumour that the 1943-1078 (presumably the last one in this part of the current order) will be distributed equally across the TT depots, but all but 3 ex Newton CNGs have now been withdrawn, with NL232s to take their place in the interim.

And btw, how long does it actually take Precision to build one of these?

I think you mean 1973 which was the first of the current deliveries of Bustech Scanias. Not sure where you get up to 1078 as no details of current odeliveries/orders have been divulged?
Newton haven't had any MAN SL202's for sometime as they were transferred to Mile end when the the 2 separate fleets were combined last year.

I'm referring to the withdrawal of the SL202s in general. 1943 displaced 421, 1973 is insignificant having (numerically) stolen 1609's spot, as it's just another bus built by this provider.

It's called foresight. Given that there still 42 SL202s in service, another 42 Scanias will obviously be commissioned to replace them as they get close to 25 years old.

But I forgot to mention that there is at least one ex Darwin NL202 due for retirement next year, this being 1351. So it's possible that the deliveries will go to 1079 contrary to what I mentioned before, assuming that the Morphettville SL replacements aren't numbered in a different number range (18XX).

Scania Bustech 1036 entered service this afternoon.

Something a bit different to see 270 bus (MAN 18.280) doing 98A service this morning. Probably a result of the 20+ buses on loan to Mile End from all of the other Torrens depots while the tram subs are on.

Either it's a problem with real time info, or wheredabus has been playing up. But I have been seeing out of the ordinary observations in the last week. The 4:06 'G22X' has always shown up as being operated by a Newton NL232, when in reality it is done by St Agnes.

In general, buses are showing up on runs that start roughly 10-30 minutes before the one they're actually performing. I'm not even sure of the accuracy of on-time running, but it's definitely strange as. But fortunately, there is the still physical vehicle number to rely on, which is not subjected to technical issues.

Special Rostering during the school holidays plus buses being moved from depots to Mile End for Tram Service Subs buses that normally do particular runs have changed because of this.
I can vouch for "Wheres Da Bus" app as being pretty accurate most of the time. Have noticed a few times that a particular bus is doing 2 different runs at the same time, this could be due to driver keying in incorrect fleet number.
This app gets all its info direct from Adelaide Metro .

Torrens Transit Scania Bustech 1979 suffrered considerable front end damage last night following a collision with a motor vehicle at the intersection Days and Regency Roads.

I believe 1979 is the same bus that was involved in a major accident at corner of Grand Jn and Addison Roads in December last year.

That one was 1977.
