Adelaide Metro have announced that the night rail closures will continue for more weeks during December plus a full weekend closure during the weekend of December 8-9, during the Australia v India Test Match!

What an odd decision! There will need to be heaps and heaps of extra substitute buses either side of the cricket!

It would of been smart to at least run a N5 and GA4

Speaking of the Seaford line, when are the substitute services going to be renumbered? It hasn’t beeen the Noarlunga line for years now. Plus buses with N prefixes are After Midnight routes. No wonder no one here understands the route numbers when so many break the patterns and rules.

I doubt the majority of folks are going to be standing at a stop with an N4 and N10 pulling up simultaneously, and hence getting confused over which CB80 they should board.

It's not like anything will be done about it anyway, even if it gets eventually extended further south.

I think the numbering is irrelevant as long as people know where they need to go and how to get there. Large scale route re-numbering would create many more problems than it would solve. Anyway people could either ask the driver or read the desto fully to see where the bus is going. Shouldn't be too hard for them.

It seems that ADELAIDE metro have made some late changes to this weekends Train sub timetables in particular for services into the city as demand should be there for Cricket at ADELAIDE oval. A new route N8 is introduced to run as an express service under 2 different stopping patterns, the first being Seaford express to Hallett Cove beach, then oaklands and then the city, the other including stops at both Noarlunga and Brighton.

As for the other lines, Gawler looks to have additional ML2 services added, Outer Harbor has extra W1, X1 and stand by buses scheduled and Belair will also run B1X express services
