How come its taken ages for 1979 to be repaired i thought precision would have spares to repair this bus?

It has been sitting at Camden Depot awaiting approval from the Insurance company to agree to pay for the repairs.

Also, just to have up-to-date info in this thread, 2201 has indeed returned to service as predicted earlier.
1178 was back in service this morning.

The Volgren I mistakenly reported as being a new bus in this thread back in July has not yet moved from that spot.

Silly question, but I don't care.

Would any parts in this vehicle be interchangeable with ones in 1386-1391 (TT owned Mercs, same chassis, but about 13-14 years older)?

Considering that bus is a Volvo B8RLE, it probably wouldn't share too many parts in common with TT's O500LEs. They share may a few external panels down the sides since they're all Volgrens, but that's about it.

I was under the incorrect assumption that it was the Mercedes-Benz bus, hence the post being out of context.

Yes, it is like suggesting that NL232 parts can be used in a K230. As in, presumably not!

Scania Artics 954 and 957 have been out of action for several weeks at Morphettville, and Jet Bus 1790 also out of action for a few weeks undergoing accident repairs.

1790 spends more time off the road with accident repairs than on the road would hate to see the insurance cost for this bus

...and it still hasn't moved. Really no point in it being there. If DTP won't let SL use it then they should move it to a TT yard otherwise SL should grow a pair and push for it to be in service.

Torrens Transit currently have 8 Scania O-Bahn Artics out of service, some for several months.
They are 1101,1141,1151,1152,1153,807,808,1850- I'd say they are scraping the bottom of the barrel at St Agnes to cover peak hour trips?

Another bus that returned to service today was Newton MAN NL 202 CNG 1672.
St Agnes and Morphettville have the most buses out of service.
